Yuletide discussions started for next year

Over on LJ someone started a brainstorming post for "what we like about the ficathon/what could be improved." The idea is that we get the rules and procedures ironed out ahead of time so that the mods don't have to be making controversial rulings on the fly and under the gun.

Today is July 1st. Summer (I think it's summer for most of us) tends to fly past. It will be Yuletide before before we know it. Maybe it's a good time to sort out the real problems from the perceived problems, and to figure out what worked and what didn't work last year?
