2022 Away-from-Keyboard Post

Yuletide is coming! We hope to reveal the stories from this year's challenge on 25 December at 9am UTC.

We also hope everyone enjoys their gifts! It's important to comment on your gift (or gifts) to thank your author for writing it.

This post is so that if you don't think you'll be able to comment until late in the anonymous period (ending 1 January) or maybe not even until the new year, you can let your author(s) know ahead of time and save them from worrying. You don't need to give a reason, but an approximate time indication may be helpful. Please include your AO3 name.

We hope your late December and early January are peaceful and happy.

I'm Ultra on AO3 and I am always offline on Christmas Day, usually Boxing Day (26th) as well, and often not super active for a few days after that, so my author shouldn't panic if they don't see a comment from me very swiftly. I will get there eventually :)

If anyone is generous enough to write something for me in the Madness collection or to write something long enough that I can't finish it on the 25th, I might not be able to comment until January.

I may or may not be able to comment on my gift between Christmas and New year's eve, as I'm working December 27-30 and I don't know yet how busy those days will be. Last year there was no problem, but I'd to make this post just to be safe. :)

Leaving a comment on behalf of my spouse Yosarian22. He's new to AO3 and isn't keeping up with the admin coms. We're traveling for a few days, and we're swamped in young kids. He'll try to read his gift on Monday, but it's all new to him! He's confident on getting a comment in by creator reveals. :)
