Writing meetups!

Might be jumping the gun a bit, but here's a post on which to organize meetups!

Comment here with your location and whether you want to organize or just attend a writing meetup.

I'm in the Boston area, and would like to organize a ~bi-weekly writing-and-coffee/tea meet-up. Likely in Cambridge, flexible to Somerville/Watertown/Boston proper/etc, depending on what people want.

I'm also in LA and would also prefer downtown or somewhere metro-accessible. (I've never managed to make it out to one of these, so out of curiosity - do people usually have them at their house or at a public location?)

I think it's usually at a public location. The one I went to before definitely was.

Last year, there was one at the Tom n Tom's in Little Tokyo.

(At least, I think it was a Yuletide one, though it might have been another fannish one.)
