Writing meetups!

Might be jumping the gun a bit, but here's a post on which to organize meetups!

Comment here with your location and whether you want to organize or just attend a writing meetup.

I'm in the Boston area, and would like to organize a ~bi-weekly writing-and-coffee/tea meet-up. Likely in Cambridge, flexible to Somerville/Watertown/Boston proper/etc, depending on what people want.

Los Angeles, California. Attend. I don't drive so I would like to tentatively suggest somewhere accessible by public transportation. There was a nice meeting downtown a few years back.

Boston as well, and I would love to attend meet-ups! There's also the boston-yuletide googlegroup, if that helps to coordinate.

Boston/Cambridge here, too, and definitely up for meeting.

I'd attend a Boston-area writing meetup. I live in Cambridge and work in Boston. Anywhere I can access by public transportation would work for me.

ANYWAY, anyone from Nassau/Suffolk counties, let's do this!

Boston (Somerville/Cambridge side of the river) and happy to attend though I am terrible at organizing.

here you go! we didn't use it last year, though, so I don't know who's still on it and still doing yuletide.

Anyone like to meet up in the capital of the New South, that is if we can survive the traffic for long enough to meet?

Ah, but I'm also terrible at organizing.

Also interested in somewhere transit-accessible if possible!

Midlands/northwest England thread, I guess?

I'm in central Manchester, and don't mind coming out of my city shell a bit ;) provided it's to somewhere wheelchair-friendly. (I can also arrange places within the city to meet, as my local libraries love this sort of meet-up, & so does a particular café I can think of.)

It's a bit too far north for me. I'm in Gloucester and realistically can get to Birmingham.

Anyone?

There are some good coffee shops around town and the tourist season is ending, so should be nice for potential bi-weekly meetups. Nothing too serious, just communal creating!

I'm also in Boston, (really Cambridge/anywhere you can get to on the red line). Bourbon Coffee works for me. Weekends are better for me (both Saturdays and Sundays), but if weekdays are a thing, later is better (I usually work until ~7:30 to 8pm).

(sorry I keep editing this)

That location is fine. It's also near the Panera in Porter Square shopping center, in case things are crowded. I'd also be good with switching the location up from time to time.

I can generally do Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for weekdays; Tuesdays and Thursdays are more difficult. I am typically free after 6. On weekends, I have no preference for Saturday vs. Sunday, though I am house hunting, so after 3 (when open houses are usually over) is preferable (though not a dealbreaker).

That's a great location for me. I prefer weekday evenings, other than Friday, but I could probably swing some weekend days if that's what works for everyone else.

Very excited about this! It's always nice to write in company.

I'm in Chico, California, and if there's anyone else from around here, I'm willing to organize something in the Chico/Oroville/Paradise/Orland area.

Edit: Since this is a small area, if you're interested and don't want to post publicly about it, feel free to message me or email me (rsadelle at gmail).
