Holidays Requested: Christmas, Chinese New Year, pretty much any seasonal festivities accepted.
Fandom and characters:
Prompts: It's all in my letter but I'm pretty much always happy with seasonal fluff and festivities. I love snow, I love hot chocolate, I love sweet scenes, I love presents (both inappropriate and not), I love parties and eggnog and drunken confessions. And red bags.

Fandoms:
Anne of Green Gables books (Anne, Diana)
American Girl: Kit (Kit, Ruthie)
Winter Wonderland--Andrews Sisters (Narrator, Love Interest)
Holiday(s) Requested: Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve
Prompts: I love Christmas romances and rom-coms! Family Christmases are also wonderful. A lot of my prompts are already winter and snow based, and it'd be delightful to have holidays involved. A few of my favorite things: Christmas celebrations (trees, lights, mistletoe, baking, caroling, parties and other gatherings), winter activities (skating, sledding, sleigh rides, walking in the snow, curled up by the fire with snow falling), winter romance (cuddling, hand holding, kissing, reading to another), etc, in any combination.

Holiday Requested: Christmas
Fandom and characters: Spirit - George Roux (Painting 1885), man and ghost
Prompts: No concrete prompts, just I'm extremely into the tradition of Christmas ghost stories and that seems like it could fit this painting really well, especially in a Victorian setting. Dark nights and gaslight and stormy skies and mysterious footprints in the snow sort of thing. Ghost lady playing incessant Christmas carols on the piano and scaring the man to death OR charming him, whichever way you want to go. Maybe a Dickens' Christmas Carol take on whatever's going on here?
(Indifferent about holiday fic for the other fandoms just because it's not immediately obvious what sort of thing would work for them, but go for it if you have any ideas! I'm not religious but have a deep love of the cold weather and fairy lights and good cheer side of the season if that sparks anything.)

Holiday(s) Requested: Hanukkah, Christmas
Fandom: Fiddler on the Roof (1971)
Character(s): Tzeitel, Motel Kamzoil
Prompts:
- Tevye says of newlyweds Tzeitel and Motel, “They work very hard, and they're as poor as squirrels in winter. But they're so happy, they don't know how miserable they are.” I would love to see this dynamic play out during Tzeitel and Motel’s first winter together, and their first Hanukkah. They’re desperately poor, but desperately happy. What is their first Hanukkah like? [Feel free to include other events in their lives, like Tzeitel’s pregnancy with Yankele, or the death of Motel’s mother (she’s featured prominently at the wedding, but vanishes entirely by the time they leave Anatevka).]
- Tzeitel and Motel are forced out of Anatevka with everyone else in wintertime. Do they make it to Warsaw by Hanukkah? Do they mark Hanukkah on the road? What is their first Hanukkah in exile, on their own, with little Yankele, like?
- The journey may be long and hard, and it may take years, but eventually Tzeitel and Motel make it to America with their children and are reunited with Tevye, Golde, and Tzeitel’s sisters in New York. Perhaps they arrive on the eve of Hanukkah. What is their reunion like?
- Any other Hanukkah stories that come to mind! Maybe Tzeitel and Motel first realize they love each other during Hanukkah!
Fandom: Emma (2020)Character(s): Emma Woodhouse, George Knightley
Prompts:
- Emma and George give each other Christmas presents. What are those presents, both tangible and (possibly) intangible? Feel free to take this a Yuleporn direction if the spirit moves you.
- The next Christmas dinner is rather more successful than the last one was, and involves no awkward proposals during the carriage ride home.
- Emma, George, and Henry’s first Christmas together after Emma and George’s marriage. It’s mostly the same as before their marriage, except Henry has to turn a blind eye to Emma and George constantly kissing under the mistletoe and mysteriously disappearing sometimes.
- Sometimes Emma and George are silly and childish together, even though they’re married adults. They have a snowball fight outside on Christmas morning (maybe Harriet visits and joins in!)
- Any other Christmas-themed fic that comes to you! I love winter celebrations, with sledding and sleigh rides and gingerbread and cuddling by the fire and caroling. (George in particular would have an excellent caroling voice!)
Fandom: 12th Century CE English Royalty RPFCharacter(s): Eleanor of Aquitaine, Henry II
Prompts:
- It’s Eleanor and Henry’s first Christmas feast together, and they give each other presents. What are those presents, both tangible and (possibly) intangible? Feel free to take this a Yuleporn direction if the spirit moves you. (Or, if you’d rather, Eleanor is newly pregnant with their first son at this point. Does she know yet? Is that one of her Christmas gifts to Henry?)
- Eleanor was crowned Queen of France on Christmas Day 1137, when she was fifteen. (She’d been Queen since August, but the coronation was on Christmas.) Two years after she marries Henry, they become the rulers of England, and she’s crowned queen just before Christmas 1154. How do the two Christmas coronations compare? How is Eleanor different, and her husbands?
- Sometimes Eleanor and Henry are silly and childish together, even though they’re married adults and rulers of a grand empire. They have a snowball fight outside on Christmas morning.
- Any other Christmas-themed fic that comes to you! I love winter celebrations, with sledding and sleigh rides and gingerbread and cuddling by the fire and caroling. (Do either Eleanor or Henry have a particularly lovely or particularly atrocious singing voice?)
Fandom: 17th Century CE Stuart Dynasty RPFCharacter(s): James VI/I, George Villiers 1st Duke of Buckingham

Holiday(s) Requested: varies a good deal by fandom
Fandom/characters: Gamechanger, by L.X. Beckett; Rubi Whiting, Gimlet Barnes
Prompts: I bet there are some interesting new blended/reinvented winter (or December/January; with the environmental effects, "winter" might be a relative concept) being celebrated by the Bounceback Generation! What are they, how did they develop, and what's earnest/ironic ratio like? When Rubi and Gimlet have their first holiday season as a couple, what kind of family shenanigans ensue, between Rubi's father, Crane (who is definitely a family member), Frankie, and Frankie's other parents ...?
Fandom/characters: The Left-Handed Booksellers of London, by Garth Nix; Susan Arkshaw, Merlin St. Jacques, Vivien St. Jacques
Prompts: An absolutely ancient British/French family based in London very likely celebrates Christmas, but just as likely there's more tradition-blending going on, and I'd imagine there's a heavy Solstice/pagan flavor there. (And I'd be thrilled to see other cultural traditions included. They are a BIG family. They ought to be pretty multicultural.) I'd enjoy a caper fic set during Susan's first "Christmas" with the Booksellers, with plenty of havoc.

Letter Link: My Yuletide Letter
Holiday(s) Requested: Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s
I love celebrations and holidays, and would really enjoy holiday fic. I do ask that the story not focus on religion or the religious aspects of a holiday, however. (Exception: imagery/allusions to a pregnant!Mary being like the Madonna are fine.)
What appeals to me more about holiday fic are its familial and cultural elements. Things like: being together with family, winter elements like snowball fights, cozy clothes, and warm drinks, thoughtful gift-giving, feasts and balls, and the “new leaf” and hope for the future that comes with the birth of the new year.
Fandom and character(s): Reign (TV) – Mary Queen of Scots, Francis de Valois
Prompts:
* I OTP Mary/Francis, and would as always love shipfic for them, but for holiday!fic I am also really interested in the broader cast of characters, if any of them appeal to you as well.
* For example, I strongly enjoy it when Francis & Bash are friends, and what better bonding time than the holidays? Do they have a snowball fight? Go out riding together? Challenge each other to a chess match by the fire? Do they give each other gifts, and if so, what?
* The friendship between Mary and her ladies is one of my favorite parts of the show. Anything about them at the holidays (AU in which Aylee survives is welcome but not required!) would be great!
* How is Mary and Catherine’s relationship during the holidays? What gifts do they give each other? Does someone try to assassinate Mary with a poisoned hot drink or celebration pastry, and Catherine catches them?
* Mary and Francis snuggle by the fire, wrapped up in cozy blankets.
* An awkward, joyful, messy, comedic holiday feast (or any of these attributes by themselves). What happens in this Holiday Feast To Remember?
* Mary or Francis gives the other a gift, in or out of bed.
* Mary and Francis plan out their New Year together, and dream dreams for the future.
* Mary introduces Francis (or a broader audience) to a “Scottish Holiday Tradition” (either Christmas or New Year’s). Only afterwards does she reveal it was all a joke and she’d made the tradition up entirely.
* Any other holiday-themed fic that comes to mind for you! As long as it’s a happy friendship and/or family-based fic, I will love it, no matter what it’s about. Surprise me!
Fandom and character(s): The Crown (TV) – Elizabeth II, Philip Duke of Edinburgh
Prompts:
* I OTP Elizabeth/Philip, and would as always love shipfic for them, but for holiday!fic I am also really interested in the broader cast of characters, if any of them appeal to you as well. (And although I have watched and enjoyed all three seasons, the first is definitely my favorite.)
* For example, Philip’s first Christmas as part of the royal family. How does he fit in to their close Christmas traditions, and how does he get along with his in-laws? I adore George VI in the show, and bonding between George and Philip, and George and Elizabeth, would be lovely.
* Any New Year’s in which Philip and Elizabeth have been feuding, and Philip thinks about things and decides to turn over a new leaf.
* Margaret is in her element during the holiday festivities. What is her favorite holiday tradition? How does she celebrate? Does she sneak away with Peter for some private festivities? (This is a long-shot, but if you ship Margaret/Peter like I do, I would also be entirely here for a canon-divergence AU in which Margaret & Peter married after all. Whether Margaret takes the deal, or a different deal is made, both are good; no AU death for Peter’s ex-wife, though, because that would feel wrong for me.)
* Philip didn’t have a close family when he was a child, unlike Elizabeth. How does that impact the way he creates holiday memories with his own children?
* Elizabeth and Philip (or Margaret and Peter) give each Christmas gifts, in or out of bed.
* I absolutely adore Anne in season three, and anything with Anne during the holidays would be fantastic! Tell me more about her and her youth and young adulthood.
* Any other holiday-themed fic that comes to mind for you! As long as it’s a happy friendship and/or family-based fic, I will love it, no matter what it’s about. Surprise me!

Anjuli-Bai, Ashton "Ashok" Pelham-Martyn, Walter "Wally" Hamilton
Prompts: How would Ash, Anjuli and Wally celebrate together? Given that Ash was raised in both Hindu and Muslim faith, Anjuli being a Hindu and I guess Wally is a Christian, I’d love to read something that celebrates all the understanding and tolerance, the coming together of people who care for humanity and kindness most above all.
A Throne of Swans Series - Elizabeth Corr & Katharine Corr
Aderyn of Atratys (A Throne of Swans), Aron (A Throne of Swans), Lucien Rookwood (A Throne of Swans)

England Series - K .J. Charles (Archie/Daniel)
Phantom Thread (2017) (Cyril Woodcock)
Portrait of a Lady on Fire (2019) (Heloise/Marianne)
Rocketman (2019) (Elton/John)
Prompts: Specific ideas in letter, but in general Christmas or New Year's (New Year's especially for Phantom Thread) would probably be most appropriate holiday-wise, with a notable possibility for Jewish holidays for Daniel in the England Series. I love holiday parties (throwing and attending, gone right and gone wrong), seasonal food and drink (and drugs if relevant), dancing, fancy holiday clothes or lack thereof, huddling against the cold, snow/frost/etc., hot drinks, presents and gift-giving, playing in snow, kissing at midnight or under the mistletoe (or subverting that!), and general vibes both glamorous and cozy (or a pleasant or awkward mixture of the two, whatever strikes your fancy)

Holiday(s) Requested: Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas and/or New Year's.
Fandom and character(s): Harley Quinn (Cartoon 2019) | Harleen Quinzel / Pamela Isley
Prompts: Now that they're together, I would love to see them spend the holidays (Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, New Year's) with Clayface, King Shark, Selina, Jennifer and Nora. I love seeing people from different backgrounds coming together and forming their own family. I also wouldn't mind just having the two of them spending the holidays together and maybe coming up with their own traditions as a couple.
Holiday(s) Requested: Christmas
Fandom and character(s): Euphoria | Rue Bennett / Lexi Howard
Prompts: We already get enough angst on the show, so I would like something more soft like Rue and Lexi spending Christmas together throughout the years and just to see how their relationship started changing, especially with Lexi so obviously being in love with her and Rue's addiction.

Holiday(s) Requested: Any holiday you'd like to include, seriously any.
In general, I love all kinds of holiday fics. The way holidays serve as time to celebrate, reflect, and remind those you love how much you care about them is such a great frame for fics. I love watching character gear up for holidays whether that's picking out special outfits, prepping food, gift shopping, or decorating our homes or office spaces. I am equally fond of reading about quiet celebrations with closest loved ones bingeing festive movies and tv, thoughtful gift exchanges among friends and colleagues, office parties, neighborhood potlucks, or blowout bashes with dream destinations, catering and DJs or live bands. I don't do much irl celebrating of anything so holiday fics of all sorts are my chance to live vicariously through characters.
Fandom and character(s): Taken Movies (Bryan, Lenore, and Kim).
Holiday fluff would be so lovely for this fandom. The Mills family deserves happier times. Precanon holidays where it's just Lenore and Kim because Bryan's away with the agency. Or maybe, Stuart's out of town (again) for a holiday and Bryan offers to jost instead. Or a vacation actually goes right for this family for once. Or the first holiday season after the baby is born.
Fandom and character(s): Highway to Heaven (Jonathan Smith and Jane Thompson)
Precanon fics are rife with holiday fic opportunities. What was Arthur and Jane's first holiday they spent together like? How did their first holiday party hosted as a newlywed couple go or as parents?
Or during We Have Forever: Jonathan and Jennifer lived together for several weeks. They had to have celebrated something in all that time, right?
Or post-canon: does Heaven recognize holidays? What do they look like?
Fandom and character(s): The Millionaire (Any)
The Beneficiary of the week uses (all of part of) their windfall to throw the ultimate holiday celebration, either for themselves or for others in need. What does it look like when your party budget is truly unlimited? What sort of dreams do the hosts or their guests get to fulfill?

Holiday(s) Requested: Since these fandoms are a mix of time periods, settings and religions, let me say that any kind of seasonal festivities are warmly and fully welcomed! I do especially love new-year style celebrations, but I'm easy.
Fandom and character(s):
The Terror (book) - John Irving, Silna/Lady Silence
Ghosts (TV) - Kitty, Mary, Alison, Lady Button
The Alienist (TV) - Marcus Isaacson, Mary Palmer
(I also requested A Knight’s Tale (Movie), Seven Kingdoms: The Princess Problem (Game) and The Outer Worlds (Game) but it's the above three fandoms I'm really keen on. However, I'm not fool enough to look a gift reindeer in the mouth!)
Prompts:
In general, I'd like to see the more optimistic side of holiday stories. Doesn't mean a story can't go dark, but happy or at least bittersweet endings would be fab.
- I love the tradition of Christmas ghost stories, so any kind of spooky, atmospheric seasonal setting would be brilliant, be it a ghost story itself, or characters sitting around telling each other ghost stories.
- Ghosts is ripe for seasonal storytelling! How do these characters from across the time periods celebrate?
- Characters being snowed in together is a classic! And hey, John Irving of The Terror knows all about being snowed in.
- NYE kisses. Yes.
- Mistletoe kisses. Yes.
- Are there other kiss traditions? I don't know. All the kisses!
- Variations on A Christmas Carol are also always fully warmly welcomed.

Holiday(s) Requested: Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year's, Diwali... whatever year-end/beginning festivity works for you!
As mentioned in my letter, and above, I'm always good for holiday good times of just about any sort. But below, I'll give a few possible prompts.
Fandom Dramacon (Manga)
Character(s): Any in tagset (Bethany, Christie Leroux, Greta Huff, Hyu-Jeong, Matt Green, Monica, Raj, Sandra Green)
Prompts: Okay, so, where I'm from, there's a tiny industry-run convention that happens every year in December, and generally manages to be little more than an overcrowded dealer's room and everyone showing up in their slightly-more-Christmassy-than-usual cosplays. If you wanted to do a take on that with the cast, and have them all show up in holiday cosplay and try to buy each other Christmas presents (and/or exchange ones gotten at other times) I would gleefully adore it. Of course, a more full-scale con would also be a lot of fun, but there is something about the absolute trash of a "dealer's room and not much else" convention that I think could make for a fun disaster.
Of course, conventions are not all there is to life. If you'd like to explore, say, Christie spending Christmas with the Greens, that could be a delight.
One thing I'd actually really love is Raj celebrating Diwali. Bonus points if he very self-consciously brings Beth along. Bonus bonus points if the the rest of the Firebird Studio is there too, peanut gallerying.
Fandom ヲタクに恋は難しい | Wotaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii | Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku (Anime & Manga)
Character(s): Any in tagset (Kabakura Tarou, Koyanagi Hanako, Momose Narumi, Nifuji Hirotaka, Nifuji Naoya, Sakuragi Kou)
Prompts: Christmas is a holiday for children and lovers in Japan, and means a lot of limited edition seasonal merch and drops, and I'd love fic focusing on any of those.
Want to show Narumi and Hitotaka trying to negotiate their way through their first Christmas together? Go for it. Want to show everyone bumping into each other at Animate trying to get cool stuff for themselves and/or each other? Go for it. Want show the Nifuji siblings (with possible bonus Narumi) getting ready for Christmas? Go for it! Want to show them fighting over Kouhaku Uta Gassen and getting together to ring the new year in together? Absolutely go for it!
Fandom Fangs (Webcomic)
Character(s): Any in tagset (Jimmy, Elsie)
Prompts: What are their holiday rituals like, and how do they introduce them to each other? Do they try to blend them together in their new relationship at all? I'd love to see any vampire or werewolf-specific holidays, and/or Elsie still keeping some traditions from the late 17th century and Jimmy having his own rather minimalistic view of Christmas or Hanukkah, or whatever else, and how they make their own traditions together.

Holiday(s) Requested: Any that would be appropriate to the characters--Christmas, Diwali, Hanukkah, New Years...
Fandom and character(s):
Uncharted: The Lost Legacy
Sam Drake, Chloe Frazer, Nadine Ross
Having to steal something during Midnight Mass at a Catholic church, with Sam playing the part of the Devout Catholic. Diwali adventures with Chloe taking the lead. What does Nadine celebrate, and how? Do all three of them say "fuck it" to holidays and just crash in a motel room someplace? Do they have to try to blend in at a holiday they don't celebrate in order to get some info/historical McGuffin/etc.?
Prairie Lotus - Linda Sue Park
Hanna Edmunds, Sam Baxter
Christmas is an incredibly important part of the Little House books, and I'd love to see that brought into Prairie Lotus with a similar eye for reinvention that the canon has in general. How does LaForge celebrate Christmas? Can Hanna participate in the festivities, and if not, does she also celebrate? Does she observe the Lunar New Year? How might Sam factor in here?
X-Men Legacy
Ruth Aldine, David Haller
One of the few flaws in Simon Spurrier's David is that he's much more interested in the fact that David spent years comatose in Scotland than he is in the fact that David is Jewish and Israeli. Anything you want to do with his heritage there, I am ALL OVER. Otherwise, what does Ruth celebrate? How does she celebrate it? What do you get a boyfriend who may or may not have a physical form at the time?
All-New Wolverine
Laura Kinney, Julian Keller
To be honest, I just love this fanart and would love to see fic about something similar with Julian--with or without Daken and Gabby as you prefer, I love them, too. How about celebrating New Years in Japan? Or dealing with X-Mansion gift exchanges? Laura seems a little iconoclast for getting super into holidays on their own merits, but I like the idea of them participating for the value of spending time together/with family and friends.
I've included resources for acquiring each of these canons in my letter!

Holiday(s) Requested: Christmas, any kind of winter solstice-related holiday
Fandom and character(s):
NOS4A2 (TV 2019) - Vic McQueen
Lovecraft Country (TV) - Ruby Baptiste
Star Trek Cats - Jenny Parks - Uhura the Siamese, Spock the Oriental Shorthair
Prompts:
NOS4A2 (TV 2019) - The first time Vic didn't celebrate Christmas after the events of season one, and/or the same after the events of season two. Millie finds Vic and her family in Haverhill during Christmastime after the events of season two.
Lovecraft Country (TV) - One of Ruby's Christmases with Leti before their mother dies, or after, or both.
Star Trek Cats - Any kind of winter solstice-related holiday you think Uhura the Siamese and Spock the Oriental Shorthair would celebrate together, real or fictional. Sharing a holiday meal.

Holiday(s) Requested: Chanukah, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
Fandom and character(s):
• Seducing the Sedgwicks by Cat Sebastian (Characters: Martin Easterbrook & Will Sedgwick)
• Derry Girls (Character: James Maguire)
• folklore: Teenage Love Triangle Trilogy - Taylor Swift (Characters: James, Betty, the narrator of "august")
Prompts: I really like cozy winter fics. I like the general vibe of cuddling up with blankets and warm drinks in front of a fire.
I like the sort of symbolism of a new start with the secular (western) New Year! That could be really fun; what kinds of new starts are the characters pursuing? Are they hopeful? Resigned? Angry?
Sedgwicks: Given Martin's consumption, obviously winter probably isn't a great time for him, and Will's prone to mother-henning. Maybe they spend New Years in the U.K. (with plenty of wood on the fire, of course), or maybe they go abroad to warmer climates where it's easier on Martin's lungs?
I specifically do not want Christmas fic. I'm aware that pretty much every fandom I've requested this year has mostly / all explicitly Christian (or at least culturally Christian) characters, and New Years is a nice fun secular holiday choice if you want a holiday in particular.
This year the only two fandoms I've requested with characters who may or may not be Jewish are the teenage love trilogy from folklore and The Magicians by Lev Grossman (and I can't really see Eliot being super into chanukah, personally). That said, I'd love something for the folklore trilogy set over chanukah!

Holiday(s) Requested: Any, including fictional ones, are welcome!
Fandom and character(s): Detective Grimoire
Detective Grimoire, Sally
Prompts:
- Grimoire & Sally get snowed-in during an investigation of a case. Shenanigans ensue as they try to celebrate the holiday while being trapped with a murderer (and who is the murderer anyway?)
- Divining a murderer via a secret santa or a present they gave could be fun?
- Grimoire thinks he's needs to get Sally a present for an upcoming holiday - he is her employee after all. But he's piss poor at picking presents.
- A mysterious package, containing a present, arrives at the Grimoire Agency office. What is in it? Who sent it? Why?
Fandom and character(s): Hex
Ella, Thelma
Prompts:
- Terrible weather forces student to spend their Christmas holiday at Medenham Hall rather than going home. But, a hundred years ago, something terrible happened in these very halls... (Yes, ANOTHER terrible thing)
- Ella doesn't normally celebrate any holidays, since she's been alive for so long and is usually alone. Thelma (and/or Leon) convince her to give it a go.
- Conversely, Ella introduces one or both of them to a long-forgotten winter holiday.
- Thelma visits home for Christmas and has to deal with her family being unable to see her. Unless perhaps one of them is able to sense her?
Fandom and character(s): Polygon RPF
Pat, Simone
Prompts:
- Secret Santa at the Polygon office goes awry after one of the gifts turns out to be something very strange or sinister indeed.
- I'm always up for the following AUs: The Gift of the Magi, The Holiday AU, It's a Wonderful Life
- Snow-in while on a press trip forcing them to spend a holiday together, instead of their original plans
- Seasonal dinner party turns tense for reasons. Maybe there's just some unresolved tension...maybe someone has poisoned the gravy?
- One of them gets caught up in some kind of strange magical bargain while buying the other a Christmas present.
Fandom and character(s): The Ten Thousand Doors of January
Any
Prompts:
- Winter traditions in any of the worlds beyond the doors, including Yule Ian's original world.
- The Scaller family actually spending winter together.
- More holiday party shenanigans, with all that tension, from a year we didn't see. Maybe Samuel and Jane try to make it better for January after her father is called away again, or perhaps her father is the one who makes it better.
- Expanding on one of the Christmases Adelaide Lee Larson spent on her own while travelling.
