Brainstorming 2015

We've had the Yuletide schedule, so that must mean it's time to start brainstorming!

What are you excited about nominating? What are you still on the fence about? What are you hoping to persuade someone else to nominate? Or do you just feel like sharing some squee?

Like last year, we get we get three fandom nominations each with up to four characters per fandom.

I'm inclining towards:

David Blaize -- E.F. Benson: David Blaize, Frank Maddox, Bags Crabtree, Hughes
The Cruel Sea -- Nicholas Monsarrat Keith Lockhart, George Ericson, Julie Hallam, John Morell
The Hill -- Horace Annesley Vachell: John Verney, 'Caesar' Desmond, Reginald Scaife [?]

but then, you know, there is The Riddle of the Sands: Carruthers, Davies, Dollmann, Clara Dollmann?

There are also a few people interested in writing fic for Oursin's the_comfortable_courtesan, which has a Cast of Thousands, all with great possible backstories &c. If I end up using a nomination on this it'll definitely include Mr MacD-, because gay Scottish Enlightenment utilitarian and probably some of Madame C-'s servants, because they are excellent.
