Queering the Tide 2025

There are many ways of queering texts and characters. This challenge is for any and all of them! The widest possible definition of queering is used here. If you think your prompt counts, then so do we.

To participate, leave a comment on this post linking to your letter, so anyone interested in queering your canon for Yuletide can find you. Tag any fics for this mini-challenge with Queering The Tide. (I suggest you tag both Queering the Tide and TransTide if the two happen to overlap.)

You can copy/paste this form below for your comment.

Fandoms: Secondhand Lions, Sonata for Harp and Bicycle, Find Me In Paris, Red Shoes and the 7 Dwarfs, A Man on the Inside, Megamind
Any specific fandom details, preferences, comments, etc: I'd love non-binary or aroace-spectrum headcanons for any of my requested characters! Garth from Secondhand Lions, Ines from Find Me in Paris, and Metro Man from Megamind seem particularly aroace-coded to me. I also think trans headcanons (binary or non-binary) as being part of why Garth and/or Hub from Secondhand Lions are so reclusive, or as being a factor in one of the curses and its associated body dysphoria or euphoria in Red Shoes, could be interesting to explore!
