Fandom: Sungkyunkwan Scandal
Any specific fandom details, preferences, comments, etc: The series is about a woman who dresses as a man to attend university in historical Korea. At one point, the other lead assumes he's queer because he's attracted to his thought-to-be-male roommate, and asks for advice from another character, who basically says that HE is queer in solidarity, and is canonically obsessed with yet another character. AND our female lead is romanced by another woman while in her male guise. Queerness for everyone!

I would like to see Mensah/Pin-Lee or emotionally onesided Mensah/Pin-Lee playing up Pin-Lee's yearning and the pedestal they put her on. Their devotion to her and the mutual care and understanding between them is interesting to me, especially in light of their canon insecurities/anxieties and boundary issues. Pin-Lee is canonically non-binary, and it would be nice to see Mensah written trans, too.

A T4T angle on these two would also be lovely to see.

Garth from Secondhand Lions, Ines from Find Me in Paris, and Metro Man from Megamind seem particularly aroace-coded to me. I also think trans headcanons (binary or non-binary) as being part of why Garth and/or Hub from Secondhand Lions are so reclusive, or as being a factor in one of the curses and its associated body dysphoria or euphoria in Red Shoes, could be interesting to explore!

Fandom: Oh My General, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Peter Wimsey

Oh My General: there's so much gender anxiety going on there, it'd be great to see it explored more fully.
Bruce Springsteen: look, they were going gay interracial kisses on stage in the 70s and 80s. I could go for slash, queerplatonic relationship, or complete gen, as long as the two are important to each other.
Prompts: the story of their first meeting is kind of mythologized by now (it's in two songs, plus lots of interviews!), another retelling of it would be great. Or an AU where Clarence wasn't in that car accident and went into the NFL and they still became close. Or an angsty fic about how they're in love but too afraid to add "living together openly as interracial queers" to "interracial queer kiss on stage." Or fluffy slice of life with the two of them together, either on tour or between tours. Or a fic where they're each the emotional center of the other's life, but they both have relationships with other people, too. (Please make it polyamory and not cheating.) Or a fic that's all about them Challenging Racism And Homophobia Together
Peter Wimsey:
Charles/Peter
Is Charles really okay with Peter leaving him with all the footwork all the time? Is there ever a time when Peter is wrong and Charles is right? Peter went to a boys' school, and situational homosexuality is a thing, besides his general cosmopolitanness; does Charles have more problem with it than Peter does? They are both such deeply principled men, and they have the principles of their class and time; does "living in sin" bother them?
Bunter/Harriet/Peter
I absolutely cannot buy that Peter and Harriet's relationship would go the same way if he was in a pre-existing relationship with Bunter. Bunter is not like his mistresses, which bring mutual pleasure and enjoyment but have little real depth of feeling and are largely separate from his day-to-day life; Peter depends on Bunter for his healing and sanity. There are "jokes" in canon about how Bunter is basically his wife. It is an extremely important relationship to Peter, and I can't see sex making that less important. So he would not immediately propose in a jail cell, because he's basically already married and there would have to be a lot of negotiation before things went forward with Harriet. (When he visits Sylvia and Eiluned is he sounding them out discreetly as to how okay she is with gay men and threesomes?) There are so many points along their courtship and relationship where things would have changed based on that. I'd love to see them explored. Or you could have P/B not be pre-existing, and something about Harriet changes the dynamic enough that they have a belated relationship and end up in a triad where Harriet is the pre-existing partner? Or maybe a true menage a trois?
Mervyn Bunter/Peter Wimsey (Peter Wimsey)
When do they get together? During the war? After it? How does it affect their cases, and their social circle? Who knows about it (Bunter's mother? The Dowager Duchess? Charles Parker?)? How do they navigate the issues of Peter's fluctuating mental health? How does it affect their cases?

The Goblin Emperor: I love queerplatonic Iana/Celehar, I love that Csevet is queer (even if TGE wasn't the right book to explore that), I'd love to explore what trans characters might look like in the society (I think the Mazei or one of the churches might be a good place to explore that), really anything
Ancillary Trilogy: all the weird queerness of the relationships, the interesting dynamics of gender inside and outside of the Radch, there's so much in these books
Midst: Phin/Jonas. All of it. Big on trans Phineas too! Transmasc and has complicated feelings with how masculinity because of the whole soldier/police force thing? Transfem and has complicated feelings about that that it's only safe to address post canon? Good either way

Any specific fandom details, preferences, comments, etc: I've specifically requested Samanthan Rutherford (though I love the whole crew!) and I do ship him a bit with Billups. I also think it could be really interesting to explore his potential aceness. I know the show has him blushing at Tendi in the series finale (and all the awkwardness in Parth Ferengi's Heart Place), but a) I really believe that could be chalked up to pure awkwardness and b) there's an interview with Mike McMahan where he said that if they'd had another season/more time they would have explored how Rutherford re-learns emotional regulation after getting the implant removed and some of his reactions in the series finale were overblown because he's not used to experiencing his emotions without the implant. (How many times is this poor guy going to have to relearn things?) Even when Rutherford is trying to flirt with Lt. Barnes he's mostly letting his implant take the lead. How does he relate (or not relate!) to sex & romance without it?

Oh and THEN, it’s written completely in epistolary/found document style with letters, diary entries, snippets of the doctor’s findings, reports of an investigation… It’s so PERFECT for fandom y’all. Oh yeah, and it features women fighting monsters and chronic illness and a chronically ill woman masquerading as a male academic on paper and a self-taught scientist with an ax and a sapphic sunshine grump couple between Lizzie and her actress girlfriend, and and and. I just loved this concept so so much, and the first book did not disappoint! I would like any gift to be set around the Ravenscroft timeline as opposed to the second book Chapelwood as sadly the massive decades long time skip lost so much of the characters and location I loved so much from the first book! Prompt-wise, you honestly can go wild as long as it’s featuring these ladies, especially if you can manage some of the style of the book! Between their complicated relationships and the crazy circumstances, there really is SO MUCH potential! (Plus, LBR, any opportunity to see more fics based off Lovecraft’s works that would REALLY piss that bigot off posthumously just makes me smile on principle lolol)

Y’all Seanan McGuire (and her horror pen name Mira Grant) has claimed my all-time fave author title, and these books are the perfect example of why. Queer main characters. Well researched science. Mixed media/interestingly formatted storytelling. And oh yeah. Deep. Sea. Murder. Mermaids. DEEP SEA MURDER MERMAIDS. Run amok here seriously, I’m game for anything including crossovers especially though I have NO IDEA how you’ll pull it off with some of the other fandoms I’ve requested LOL. I’m also a fan of worldbuilding/mixed media, too if that’s your thing. Prompt wise: 1) Pacific Rim AU with Tori/Olivia as pilots against the massive monstrous females of the species who’ve finally figured out how to survive out of the deepest depths long enough to reach shore to hunt? 2) Ray & Olivia’s bromance was one of my fave relationships here and I’d love to see him survive and TOTALLY ship Olivia/Tori– fixit fic for the win! 3) Anything playing with the mixed media format from the books: transcripts from the survivors of the Melucine, Tori & Louis’s scientific presentation of their findings, emails between Oliva and/or Ray and Imagine? 4) The other/previous “mockumentaries” Imagine did – were they all actually fake or did the people on site cover something up? Were Olivia and Ray (and possibly Anne?) involved in tracking down Bigfoot or a chupacabra? Is Tori dragged along in their wake for the next mockumentary after the Melucine? Aside from that, I’m always a fan of stories that crossover various fandoms by the same author, so I’d totally be game with a related Seanan McGuire/Mira Grant verse character or setting colliding with this one (though note: I have NOT read the Newsflesh or Parisitology series yet).

Fandom: Magus of the Library
Any specific fandom details, preferences, comments, etc: The manga is set in a world of fascinating fantasy cultures, inspired by India, the Middle East, and pre-Columbian Central and South America without being stock Fantasy Counterpart Cultures for any of them. The manga goes into the differences and similarities in their various cultures a lot, and one thing that I think would be fascinating to see is how they think of LGBTQ issues. I don't think they'd exactly match up to modern takes on the concept, but at the same time, cultures throughout history have had their own spaces for people who we'd consider queer in some way now. So what would a Hyron concept of LGBTQ be like? Or Rakta, or Kokopa? And how would those interpretations clash with each other -- what happens when someone who thinks of themself as, say, a third gender, or in a culturally-sanctioned same-sex marriage, has to deal with someone who would interpret their gender in an entirely different way? I'd like takes on this where no one is wrong, exactly, but where differing expectations and traditions cause friction.
Fandom: Chuubo's Marvelous Wish-Granting Engine
Any specific fandom details, preferences, comments, etc: Obviously I'm interested in femslash between Natalia and Jasper, but I think there's more you could do with that. Natalia grew up in an experimental program that made her a prodigy at everything, but froze her heart -- which would probably be very detrimental for her exploring or understanding her sexuality. If she starts having feeings for Jasper, would she even recognize them? Would she struggle to deny them as unimportant, or be scared of them? And for Jasper's part, she's canonically very baffled by the nuances of life as a mortal human -- forget 'this strange human thing you call love,' she's fascinated and bewildered by 'this strange human activity you call sneezing' or 'these strange human things you call toaster pastries.' Put together, these give a lot of room to make their story all about realizing one's own orientation and coming out, just writ larger, with golden snakes and magical sunbeams.
Fandom: Ichi the Witch
Any specific fandom details, preferences, comments, etc: This one's very straightforward: I'd like to see femslash about Desscaras and her perennial rival, Chikutoge Togeice. They're just amazing together -- both of them are a thorn in the other's side, taking great glee in getting under each other's skin in their own ways, but at the same time, they can be so incredibly tender towards each other when it really matters. The one scene between them in the bar in chapter 21, where Togeice immediately drops the bet she'd had with Desscaras because she knows how much she needs her support, and the two of them poke at each other a little but drop it quickly to be there for each other... It made me ship them for life. There's probably more to explore about how a society where only women have magic powers leads to closer connections between them, which you could definitely delve into if you're interested in it, but I'd be happy with just some thorny, tender, supportive rivalry romance between them.

Come queer them with me - there are 7 male characters nominated, which mean 42 potential M/M ships, and I would be excited for literally any of them. It's standard sports anime fare in that it focuses on intimate relationships between male characters, which IMO is a natural jumping-off point for a queer relationship.

Fandom: Octopath Traveler
Any specific fandom details: I like the way Octopath establishes all the relationships between the main cast at the level of 'warmly friendly and caring', in a way that leaves the door open to romantic relationships without ever forcing them - because it doesn't do anything to stop me finding queer relationships. My request is for Giddon/Po. Out of nowhere, a few years ago while diving back into canon as I wrote a Po & Giddon friendship fic, I found myself surprised by some seriously shippy feels for them. The period in Bitterblue (as in, the book) where Giddon learns Po's secret, and is incandescently furious with him, but they gradually work through it... How much more intense might that be (the Grace reveal and their subsequent falling out) if Giddon and Po's feelings for each other were more than platonic? (I love Katsa/Po undyingly, but for this Giddon/Po prompt I don't mind how you handle it; this relationship could be instead of the canonical Katsa/Po, or potentially it could be in addition, since Katsa and Po are implied to have an open relationship.)

Carve the Mark: I'm interested in a shippy take on the two men I've requested (two men who, through the constant exchange of memories, start to become one plurality, and eventually live in one body). I also hadn't thought of it until this moment, but what if Eijeh was trans? How would that complicate their merging and their shared experience in Eijeh's body? (I wouldn't want Ryzek to be trans. It would be fascinating, actually, with how hard he feels he needs to prove himself...but I think that would completely change his relationship with his father, who may not even want him as an heir. So unless you wanna write an epic and rethink some major things, let's go with Eijeh instead!)
The Islanders: I'm interested in Caurer/Willer, for canonical characters, or in Dryd Bathurst/some guy. Otherwise, feel free to come up with queer characters of your own!

Fandom: A Dangerous Man: Lawrence After Arabia (1990)
Any specific fandom details, preferences, comments, etc: I'd love to see someone take the intense, smoldering feelings between T.E. Lawrence and Emir Faisal in this film and make it textual, and there are so many possibilities for how to do this: either during the events of the movie, right after their final scene (where it feels like they're about to kiss), or an alternate history that allows them to be together in some way. It's a great movie about how the Versailles Treaty betrayed the Arab world, but the two lead actors' performances and chemistry is just off the charts - and there's also a great opportunity to have letting them be together intersect with writing a better political ending for Faisal and his people as well.
Fandom: Wayfarers Series - Becky Chambers
Any specific fandom details, preferences, comments, etc: In terms of queer possibilities, I'd love a continuation to Rosemary and Sissix's romance from the first book, seeing where it goes from there and how it works within Sissix's species' polyamory. But I'm open to whatever queer possibilities you can come up with for this very queer book series and its fascinating view of a future sci-fi world, which is why I added Worldbuilding in here. I'd also love some continuation for Roveg and his story during the fourth book, and so exploring his own queerness is a possibility there too!
Fandom: The Wire (TV 2002)
Any specific fandom details, preferences, comments, etc: I'm most interested in something that brings the subtext between Omar (canonically gay) and Brother Mouzone into text, or that explores the possibility of a queer sexual or romantic relationship between Avon and Stringer. I elaborate on this more in my letter.
Fandom: The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue Series - Mackenzi Lee
Any specific fandom details, preferences, comments, etc: I'd love to see how someone continues Monty and Percy's canonical romance - where they go from the ending - but I think I'd be even more interested in stories exploring Sim, the second and third book's lesbian North African pirate queen.
