What is Family Matters?
Unrelated to the sitcom (or anything else, actually), Family Matters is a mini challenge focused on sibling relationships. Whether that be traditional, half, foster/adoptive, or step siblings, siblings of all kinds are welcome. For the purposes of this mini challenge, I am excluding found family (unless there are sibling relationships within) and “I see them as a sibling” relationships (unless, of course, that statement is meant to be literal.) As I won’t be policing anything, please use your best interest and feel free to ask me any questions in the comments.
What about incest?
This is NOT the incest mini challenge. Someone made one last year and I'm hoping, for all interested, that it's continues on. However, nothing and no one is stopping you from signing up to both if that’s what you want.

Fandoms & Requested Characters + Their Siblings: Black Rabbit Hall - Eve Chase (Toby/Amber Alton)
Prompts (optional): Most heavily interested in the 60s/70s narrative rather than the modern day one, or at least the characters from there, but I could imagine a delightful story told from Lorna’s point of view as she keeps uncovering more secrets about the Alton siblings. I love their relationship, how messy and co-dependant it seems from the outside. Toby’s apparent jealousy when Lucian enters their lives and his general strangeness toward anyone who isn't Amber. Yes, I ship them, but gen is equally welcome! I would love more of what happened between the 60s/70s narrative and the modern day one! What if Toby and Amber had stayed in contact? Or both had remained at Black Rabbit Hall? Whether Lucian stayed away or if he was there too -- big fan of love triangles, jealousy, infidelity, and even messy threesomes here.

Fandoms & Requested Characters + Their Sibling: Sieben Jahre - Tanja Kinkel, Friedrich II (Frederick the Great) & Prince Heinrich of Prussia
Prompts: I’ve only just read this novel, and I love it already. The relationship between Friedrich and Heinrich is absolutely fascinating, so very fucked up and intense, and anything focused on that will make me immensely happy. And hey, canon gay triangle! Marwitz pov on his relationship with those brothers and theirs with each other, please! Sure, we hear him make some comments in the book, but that’s to Heinrich or in his earshot, I want to know what he truly thinks, and if that changes between the flashbacks and the present day plot of the novel?
Any Other Details: She’s not in the list of requested characters (due to the four characters limit), but I also like the prickly yet affectionate relationship between either brother and their sister Amalie.

Any Other Details: Nobody in Tsukihime has living parents, so sibling relationships take on a really intense weight there. The relationship between the Tohno siblings is basically the driving engine of canon, especially in any Far Side route. So, if you're writing about any of the Tohnos or the twins, those sibling relationships are going to come up.
I do also feel dutybound to warn for canonical incest. Akiha has a romance route in the VN, and Original Shiki's jealous possessiveness does manifest in an incestuous fashion at various points.

For Neville & Archie prompts, I'm obsessed with their messed up caretaker/mentally ill person relationship. They both love each other so so much, and they've hurt each other so so much because they refuse to communicate properly. I would love something exploring Neville's both mingled resentment and deep love for his brother. He wants the opportunities he never got to have, but he also willingly gave up his whole life for his brother. There is deep, deep love there. I'd love something exploring the hurt he feels that his brother doesn't appreciate how much he does taking care of the estate/manor and Archie's child. I'd love to see them growing closer and finally communicating post-canon. I'd love to see something exploring how Neville grew up always being his caretaker. They fascinate me!

Prompts (optional): I love the two sisters' relationship! They bicker sometimes as siblings do, but they clearly love and support each other. I don't usually like 20th-century opera, but their gorgeous Act I duet "Aber der Richtige" was the first thing that caught my attention and made me fall in love with this opera. Zdenka would sacrifice anything for her sister's happiness; Arabella unhesitatingly embraces and protects Zdenka at the end of the opera after Zdenka has taken the socially rash step of sleeping with a man before marriage. I would love to see anything with the two of them.

Fandoms & Requested Characters + Their Siblings Frasier, I requested Freddy + David (first cousins) but many of my requests also feature their dads (Frasier & Niles, very famously brothers).
