Greetings and salutations! Yuletide contains multitudes, and a chunk of those multitudes would really like to request or write worldbuilding. Thus, here is a sub-challenge post for those of us who love worldbuilding, either on the giving or receiving end.

Fandoms: Small Saga
Characters: Any
Prompts: I adore the world-building of Small Saga and its unabashed queer, lefty view of the world. Humans as eldritch gods, large animals as terrifying titans, tiny rodents using human tools as weapons, a pigeon transport service, and a really fun, engaging cast of characters. I just want to spend more time in this world!

• Oh. My. DAYS! I love me a good pigeon and Dizi is such a fun character who gets to see the whole city on his rounds as avian transport. Maybe we can see his perspective on how rodent politics evolves over the different regions.


• Small Saga really lends itself to taking some well-known London location (or British locations that are not London!!) and imagining the Rodentia dwelling beneath it, or creating OCs and giving them interesting human odds and ends to wield, or making up a titan encounter with some unusual large pet. Would love to see what you come up with!


• Speaking of Worldbuilding, Rat-Tailed Rover is a fun song filled with references to mysterious things we have no other context for. What are the great waters? Where might one find rat-kings and vole-counts? Who are the Horned Rats of Corinth and what is the deal with their dance (and what was Kofi doing in Greece anyway)? What else might he tell us about if we buy Kofi the rat an ale?
