Fandoms:
- Space Shuttle No. 8 - เจฟ ซาเตอร์ | Jeff Satur (Music Videos)
- Dominion of the Fallen - Aliette de Bodard
- วิมานหนาม | The Paradise of Thorns (2024)
- เขมจิราต้องรอด | Khemjira (TV)*
Prompts:
- Anything for SS8, especially The Journey Book, the Asia Tour trailer, the role of women across the MVs, the recurring imagery and symbols, and the nature and technology themes.
- Vietnamese, Abrahamic, and French culture and mythology for Dominion of the Fallen
- For Paradise of Thorns, one of my prompts is a crossover/fusion with Khemjira. It would be interesting to explore more of the spirits and traditional Thai spiritual practices in Khemjira with character(s) from TPOT (hence the asterisk above!).

Letter: Dear Yuletide Writer letter
Fandoms:
- The Goblin Emperor
- Ancillary Trilogy
Characters: AnyPrompts:
For The Goblin Emperor:
- A scholarly paper about historical events or a culture outside of the Ethuveraz (Barizheise traditions or the like?) would be fun!
- I'm so curious about the religion in these books (especially interested in Cstheio Caireizhasan; the zhasan in her name is a great little nugget for exploration imo)
- Exploration of the Athmaz’are, I feel like we know so little about it as an institution
- Maybe some in-universe newspaper articles about the events of the books, to give an idea of the perspectives outside of the POV characters? Could provide context and build on details about the culture
For the Ancillary Trilogy:no subject

Fandoms: House Of Hollow by Krystal Sutherland
Prompts: I'd love anything more about that second world. What exactly are the creatures? What others have infiltrated our world? What is their motivation -- is it just to get to 'live as humans' or something more? In that same vein, how about the strange other world itself? What was the life like for the girls there? For others? Why does it exist? What happens if a human becomes trapped there long-term? How did the monster!sisters survive in such a hostile place? What was their relationship like?

Prompts: I'm not sure these count, exactly, but worldbuilding seemed like the best subhead!

Fandoms: Small Saga
Characters: Any
Prompts: I adore the world-building of Small Saga and its unabashed queer, lefty view of the world. Humans as eldritch gods, large animals as terrifying titans, tiny rodents using human tools as weapons, a pigeon transport service, and a really fun, engaging cast of characters. I just want to spend more time in this world!

Don't Make Me - Malinda (Music Video)
https://youtu.be/QQAbzby4hZk?si=UgJMd_a6P3NIJFc0
Tell me everything and anything about this princess/queen and her dirty rotten husband. Does she take over with her handmaidens? How did she get into this mess? Who's kingdom is it?
White Reflection - Two-Mix (Music Video)
https://youtu.be/ZNSOcPjL-Gw?si=JgaGfGJ2k8EqVw6N
What even is going on here? I've loved this video for decades now, I love how it tells a story of these two musicians and their journey even if you don't know Japanese. I love it so much, build as much more or little of the story as you like. What are the lights? Who are the musicians? What happens to them?

Letter: https://isabrella.dreamwidth.org/9888.html
Fandom: The Incandescent - Emily Tesh
Characters: Aneeta Shah and Nikki Conway
Prompts:
- Fascinating world; I'd love to think more about why magical pursuits are not considered very important in higher academia.
- Exploring exactly how Saffy did what she did.
- I would love to see a crossover between this and Juno Dawson's Her Majesty's Royal Coven and/or honestly the Scholomance series by Naomi Novik. I think there's some really interesting overlap in themes around magic-adjacent Britain coming out of recent urban fantasy. In particular, a lot of the worldbuilding gave me the vibe of fanfic of the Scholomance series, so would be curious to explore that.
Fandom: Mossa & Pleiti series - Malka Older
Characters: Mossa & Pleiti
Prompts: More extensively at my letter.
- In-universe worldbuilding texts for this one, like academic articles or popular historical books or anything else you can think of that plays with format.
- The sociology of how religion and culture has been transmuted into this society is super interesting to me!
- Anything that delves into the science of the resurrections.
- I am curious about the kind of social hierarchies that are hinted at but not interrogated at length thus far. Pleiti reading one (1) sociological text from the Modern faculty and having her mind exploded is very funny to me.
Fandoms: Rolling in the Deep Series - Mira Grant
Characters: Jillian Toth, Tori Stewart, Olivia Sanderson
Prompts: Worldbuilding was not formally nominated for this one but interested in exploring the academia and science of mermaids in the post-canon world!

Prompts: The 2% world; the "afterlife"
Fandom: Rise of the Planet of the Apes
Prompts: Something bridging these films and Kingdom, or looking at other ape (and/or human) settlements in the rest of the world, or... really anything! See my letter for more deets.
Fandom: 28 Years Later
Characters: Dr Kelson
Prompts: See my letter for more deets but something looking at the other villages/settlements in the area would be good. Do they communicate with each other? How? Is Kelson regarded more positively by some of the other groups? How do they feel about the people on Lindisfarne? Has anyone other than Kelson learned to live alongside the infected in some way?
Fandom: Sinners
Prompts: History of the Choctaw vampire hunters!

Letter: https://larryhammer.dreamwidth.org/875384.html
Fandoms: Childe Roland to the Dark Tower Came - Robert Browning
Characters: Worldbuilding (only)
Prompts: There’s two angles I’m particularly interested in:
1) It’s not at all clear how much of the malevolence the narrator ascribes to the landscape is a projection of his unstable mental state. What does the setting look like to someone not at the end of their rope? Better, or possibly even worse? (I mean, trekking through actual Hell is an option here.)
2) What exactly is the quest? How did it start? How did it go so wrong? How did the narrator’s companions fall away? Just how significant is it that it’s only at the moment of final despair the narrator succeeds? Is this dark tower really the culmination (after all, the narrator’s not entirely reliable)?
But this is not an exhaustive list of possibilities — anything that explores this world would be greeted with ecstatic glee. (What’s at the dark tower anyway — a magician? a grail? the McGuffin that will save the kingdom/universe/his sister? a gate to the afterworld? Ged/Sparrowhawk? a daoist cultivator? a ninja village? alien remnants?)

Fandoms: The Face in the Frost - John Bellairs; Hexwood - Diana Wynne Jones; The Incandescent - Emily Tesh; Scholomance - Naomi Novik
Characters: Mostly I’ve requested “any,” or worldbuilding specifically. I’m especially interested in the Scholomance (the school itself) as a character.
Prompts: I’m going to avoid copying out my entire letter here, but I would love to read anything that explores hidden corners in the worlds of any of the canons I’ve nominated. Some things I especially like: magic in academia (pedagogy, research, bureaucratic minutiae), the interaction between magic and science, nonhuman perspectives (e.g. demons, the Scholomance), in-universe documents. See my letter for more specifics on the individual fandoms!

Fandoms: Chants of Sennaar (Video Game) and Pro-bots & Robophobes - Scandroid (Song)
Characters: ATOM 7K (Pro-bots & Robophobes), or Worldbuilding (Pro-bots & Robophobes) (giver's choice). Monster (Chants of Sennaar), or Worldbuilding (Chants of Sennaar) (Giver's Choice)
Prompts:
(Pro-bots)
I’m an absolute sucker for robot characters in media, I relate to them so strongly. As a lens to discuss personhood, neurodivergence, queerness, and so much more. Or just as a cool sci-fi story with interesting aesthetics.
Worldbuilding, and/or a fic following / telling the story of the song, would both be very cool. No real thoughts for this one, so I’ll leave it very open ended. I’m down for most anything here.
Other Scandroid songs that could be paired interestingly with worldbuilding in this one: (not necessary, just an option if you find it fun.)
The End of Time, Monochrome, Future bloodlines, The veil, Salvation code, Aphelion, Awakening with you, Obsolete, or Neo-Tokyo.
(Chants of Sennaar)
"Chants of Sennaar" is a language translation based puzzle game. I think it would be really neat to get a fic written partially or wholly in the in game languages. That may be tricky in ao3, formatting wise, and the vocabulary set is fairly limited, so it may make more sense as a madness idea. But if you’re up for the challenge, I’d also be so here for that as a the main gift.
No strong ships vs. gen thoughts here. Warrior/Alchemist is cute? But anything goes.
Adding to the Yulebuilding 2025 worldbuilding minichallenge. I don’t have any specific ideas really, but there’s a whole lot of worldbuilding space here.
Also adding this to the unconventionyule minichallenge. I’d be open for Scientific writing, poetry, letters, more conversations / translated dialogue puzzles between the different people of the tower, or any other odd formats as part of worldbuilding / in game language.
A robot-themed level / people / language in the tower could be a neat story? Or a different Original tower level if you've got ideas.
And the monster’s whole deal/story is very interesting.
But really down for whatever here. I’d like you to get weird with it, if you want.

- Possibly in Michigan (1983)
- Station Eleven (TV)
Characters: Any
Prompts:
For Possibly in Michigan:
- WTF is this world?? There’s a way Sharon, Janice, and the man who stalks them feel like they’re just a part of this world. Like this is normal, everyday shit here. Is cannibalism normalized?? Is there a serious serial killer problem going on?? I don’t know, but I also kind of want in-universe documents about the mall.
For Station Eleven (TV):
- I want to know more about the flu. Or about the towns that have sprung up all over. Or more about the Traveling Symphony or other artistic efforts in the post-apocalypse. I love in-universe documents and unusual POVs. Or if you want to tell a story based on Station Eleven itself, wow, go for it. Prompts: Explorations of how a group of fantasy societies still working on the whole 'multiculturalism' bit handle LGBTQ issues in each of them. Examining the details of how an international library that trains magically-skilled librarians handles all the challenges librarians face, from book restoration to collection curation to navigating local censorship.
Fandoms: Blue Prince
Characters: Mary Matthew Jones/Marion Marigold (optional)
Prompts: Exploring the strange science of 'architectural drafting,' which involves creating houses that can shuffle their rooms around or even remove them temporarily from existence. Looking at the educational system that teaches it, or the implications it has on society at large. Alternately, looking at the geopolitics of the world, especially focusing on a fascist government that censors both art and history to glorify itself.

Fandoms: Graceling Realm - Kristin Cashore, Wayfarers Series - Becky Chambers, Nettle & Bone - T. Kingfisher
Prompts:
- Graceling: I failed to nom worldbuilding so I did not specifically request it as a character, but I would deeply enjoy worldbuilding fic here anyway! Some thoughts: What was it like in Monsea during Leck's reign? What was it like for the Dellians to discover the Seven Kingdoms? What other Graces are out there? How does Saf's Grace work?
- Wayfarers: My request is themed around Sidra and Pepper but I'd be cool with other worldbuilding too! Ideas: what kinds of experiences do other AIs in body kits have? What legislative debates are there about body kits? What is life like back on Pepper's home colony? How do the factories work? What happens to the girls when they get older? What happened to the other Janes who disappeared? What are the Mothers like?
- Nettle & Bone: I don't have as many specific ideas, but it's a big world and there's so much room to explore in terms of the other kingdoms, the blighted land that's only really mentioned in passing, the potentials of how the dust-wives work, etc!

Letter: https://moontyger.dreamwidth.org/771883.html
Fandoms:
Changeling Charade
Freshman Magic
Nightseer - Laurell K. Hamilton
Rooks and Ruin - Melissa Caruso
Characters: Any
Prompts: Copied from my letter, but put here as well for easy reference
For Changeling Charade: Something exploring the supernatural community and their history might be fun. How did we end up here? Or you could do more with the potions plot; it felt rather unresolved to me. You could find out Constance's mother was involved, but not much beyond that. Or there are several endings where you can flee to Australia - what is that like? What is the legal status of supernatural beings there? How do those from Britain get long with the ones who surely must be native to Australia?
For Freshman Magic: How does dueling work as a pro sport? Does it have a season and a draft and all that? What is it like to date someone doing it? Is it like dating a regular pro athlete or different? Something exploring the dichotomy of being famous (or dating someone famous) in one community and unknown if you go outside of it could be fascinating.
Or Halim knows about a magic-users-only bar; how many other places like that are there? He wants to take the MC traveling over the summer: what is traveling the US (or the world) like when you're a mage? Is that even a term they use (I don't recall the game actually saying what magic users called themselves)?
What are the characters' families like in general? Is magical talent only inherited? If it is, are magic-users not quite human? Where did the talent come from? What happens to magic-users who aren't from magical families if it isn't only inherited? What is it like to be a magic-user in this society? How does the mix of magical and non-magical societies work here? It's implied that there's at least some school system for magic-users before college, but do they go to other schools at all? How much do magical and non-magical society interact? Are school for magic-using kids just the weirdly exclusive private school in town?
Noel keeps wanting to find secrets at the school and this never happens, but what if they do finally go looking? Do they find any? (I imagine secret rooms and passages. Secret student or faculty clubs maybe. Old hidden enchantments that could do any number of things both malign and beneficial. That sort of thing.) You could do some fun dark academia or even a bit of Southern Gothic with this setting.
Mundane colleges tend to have all kinds of weird traditions that have accumulated over the years, like the one I went to had one where on the 13th of every month, students ran around the campus wearing nothing but shaving cream. Or students keep stealing some item and putting it in silly places, that sort of thing. What kind of traditions does a magic college have?
More exploration of the different types of magic would be interesting, too. Or what about magical beings other than demons: perhaps Fae, werewolves, or undead as teachers or students or somehow secretly involved with the school?
For Nightseer: Explore the differences between black, grey, and white healing! (We get hints, but not much detail, and don't really see grey healing in action at all.) Tell me more about the gods and religion in this world; it's clearly very important, but we don't get a ton of detail. Honestly there's not a lot about what demons are, exactly, in the book either. There are good deities, but we don't see mention of celestials or angels. Why not? Do people go to Hell when they die? It's unclear.
Tell me about the elves, in general or about Keleios's relatives and her time there. (Keleios taking Lothor to visit the elves might be especially interesting given that he is also half-elven, but seems to have no connection to that side of his heritage and little knowledge of elven culture.) Pick any of the countries mentioned in the book and tell me more about it (maybe have Keleios and Lothor travel there on a later adventure if it isn't one they have an immediate reason to go to). Or Keleios's sister is called The Guardian, but the Guardian of what or where, exactly? What is her role? What is her relationship like in future with her sister and her sister's consort?
For that matter, tell me more about what being a consort means. It seems pretty focused around reproduction; is that all it is? Does it end after a child is born? Is it sort of a temporary marriage?
Dragons are also an interesting topic to explore. Apparently some dragons are bred in captivity and basically lobotomized, but naturally they are fully sentient and some can assume human form. One of the teachers at the school is a dragon. How did this situation come about? Do dragons have their own country and society? Did they at one time?
For Rooks and Ruin: One thing I really wondered was why all the Witch Lords are named after animals or plants. How is that decided? The Lady of Owls greets Severin as the Mockingbird Lord when nothing mentioned him saying or deciding that, so how did she know? I'd also love to see more of Disaster's memories.
I am also really interested in the Graces. As people, yes, but also the fact that it seems generally known that they were humans who of course died long ago, yet they are worshiped as basically gods. Heroes of the past are often respected, sure, but they don't usually have shrines and cathedrals dedicated to them. People don't pray to them to intercede. So how did that happen? Did it start to happen while they were still alive and, if so, how did they feel about it? Colonel Farrow said he would "ascend to the ranks of the Graces"--what did he think that would mean? For that matter, that applies to the Severin, arguably Ryx, and the members of the Rookery: what does it mean now that they have duplicated the feats of the Graces? Do people start building shrines to them?

Letter: https://keerawa.dreamwidth.org/6744.html
Fandoms:
Scholomance series by Naomi Novik - World-Building or Oliver Lake or Guo Yi Liu
* I am fascinated by the magical system of Scholomance, with affinities, spell re-discovery through language study and spell creation through creative writing, and the natural balance of light and dark.
* Their entire society is deformed by the intense class-system of the Enclaves and the horror that is Scholomance. Any exploration of Novik's dark society will intrigue and delight me.
* 'Allies' from Scholomance seem to stay connected after graduation, but we never saw that play out. Is this like an 'auntie' or 'godparent' system, where they are a part of each other's family from then on? Show me more!
* The Enclave-building spell's built-in silence compulsion interests me. Can you show me someone trying to work their way around it?
* Familiars - What are they? How intelligent are they? If you wanted to write a fic from the POV of one of the mouse familiars, I'd enjoy that!
* I didn't request Scholomance as a character, but if you want to include its POV as a part of a world-building fic, I would enjoy any insight into how it thinks and reacts to El, Oliver, and the other students
The Lazarus Project (TV) - Shiv Reddy
* Shiv has spent his whole life reliving months at a time, with no one around him aware of the changes. What is that like? How did it affect him? How did he make sense of it all?
* Worldbuilding: The chase scenes in this show are carelessly violent in ways that would get bystanders killed. On reflection, that makes sense - if they succeed, they save the entire world. If they fail, any collateral damage will never have occurred. As George is trying to force a reset, he becomes more and more desperate to make it happen, so the people he hurt on the way come back. I wonder if, as you spend more time on the project, the people who don't remember start to seem less and less real to you, and what affect that would have?
* If you know there's going to be a reset, what might you do to and with the people who won't remember, when nothing will count? That could get very dark. Or very funny! Time loop shenanigans are welcome!
* Why is the team of people who try to make changes completely separate from the people who trigger the reset, with Wes the only connection?
* The Project discovered both Shiv and George, people who naturally remember the time loops. How do they find these people? What is the protocol if they refuse to join the Project?
* What made this possible? Why is July 1st the reset date?
* We saw Shiv carefully memorizing winning horses to carry information between resets. How does the project maintain and compare information? Epic story-telling? Mnemonic devices? Mind palaces?
* IF The time loop is MADE for IF story-telling. Let me try to save humanity!

Honestly, I doubt there's space! Plenty in my letter, though, as this request is ALL about the worldbuilding. ❤ In brief, most of this request is about finding very left-wing fix-its for some of EBD's more egregious and outdated attitudes, or including social aspects lacking in the original canon. Prompts:
honestly, there's a lot of potential worldbuilding we didn't get. I'm ignoring any answers to these questions that were brought up in Allegiant.
-how do other faction initiations work?
-what does anyone do for fun?
-what's up with the rule about not being allowed to meet with any other factions? it seems like it's just there as an obstacle for inter-faction relationships.
-speaking of, how would those work, anyway?
-what the general opinions regarding queer people in a city where being different is unacceptable and shameful?
