Season’s Treatings mini-challenge

Do you love receiving or writing end of year holiday stories? Are you prompting a snowed in Hanukkah celebration or an Australian New Year's beach party? Season's Treatings may be for you!

This mini-challenge is all about November, December and January holidays, traditions, and cultural celebrations big and small and all over the globe--and perhaps some fantasy worlds, who knows. If you want to prompt it, someone may want to write it.

Holidays requested: Christmas (including Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, general run-up to Christmas etc. and related myths/stories), Dies Natalis Solis Invicti (fictional midwinter holiday from The Hidden Almanac)

Fandoms and characters:
- Blackadder, with Edmund Blackadder (Goes Forth) and Kevin Darling (Goes Forth)
- Dot (BBC radio), with Dot and Millicent Hillary Hillary Jones
- The Goes Wrong Show, with Chris Bean and Robert Grove (but my additional tag offers the "exception" to write about any other character(s) in the cast instead, if you so wish!)
- The Hidden Almanac, with Reverend Mord and Pastor Drom

Prompts (the fandom-specific ones are also sometimes more detailed in my letter):

- generally, I enjoy the winter season and snowy weather, festiveness and stories/myths/etc. related to Christmas or midwinter generally, and both celebrations that are surprisingly sentimental, or ones that are just utterly awful (but maybe there's a moment of happiness at the end, anyway). Stupid/fun/overly formalised/meaningful traditions or horrible/well-meaning family appearances are also all delightful!

- [Blackadder] something featuring the ghost from Blackadder's Christmas Carol trying to reform the Blackadder family line again could be fun! Or generally something set during Christmas-time at the front.
- [Dot] maybe a gift exchange at the Cabinet War Rooms goes very, *very* wrong, and shenanigans ensue in order to save the day? Or a twig of unfortunately-placed mistletoe is causing a lot of upset?
- [The Goes Wrong Show] they put on Christmas plays so often, I'd love something in that spirit! Or a very miserable Christmastime for the characters where lots of things go wrong, which also seems like it'd be in the Cornley spirit... also possible would be something set during one of those more festive plays they've put on, or the radio segment "The Christmas That Goes Wrong" (which is sadly not very accessible though, due to it being radio with, as far as I know, no commercial release, and only one recording on the currently-unavailable Internet Archive...)
- [The Hidden Almanac] I'd love to know more about the podcast's fictional winter holiday, and how Mord and Drom might celebrate it! Feel free to invent new traditions here, or draw on various real-life traditions, the way the few references we get in the show do.
