Yuletide Nomination Coordination Station 2024

WARNING: Do NOT submit nominations here. Post for coordination ONLY.

This post is where people declare what they have nominated, or ask other people to nominate for them. So if you do comment and/or add your nominations to the spreadsheet, that's great, because it helps other people decide what to nominate, but it WILL NOT result in your fandoms or characters being in the tagset. The only place to nominate is the Yuletide tagset. Use the comments on this post and the coordination Google spreadsheet to coordinate nominations with others.

  • For information about nominating fandoms and characters, what is eligible for nomination, and other important links and announcements, refer to [community profile] yuletide_admin.

  • Nominations run Monday September 9th to Friday September 20th. Nominations will be approved after that time.

  • Before tags are approved (after September 20th), you can only see your own nominations.

  • You can nominate up to 4 fandoms and up to 4 characters in each fandom.

Please copy and paste the following information to comment on this post. Every item is optional except fandom.

  • A nomination is something you plan to nominate. A request is something you're hoping someone else will nominate for you, because you ran out of slots.

  • View and edit the google sheet here: Yuletide 2024 Nomination Coordination Station.

  • If you can add your information to the spreadsheet yourself, please do! That would really help. PLEASE DO NOT SORT THE SHEET. If you want to view the list by nominated fandoms, use the autogenerated "sort by fandom" tabs.

  • During the nomination period, the spreadsheet will get re-sorted by username daily at (approx) 7PM GMT, to keep the data tidier.

Help Wanted

If you have a few minutes and enjoy a bit of data entry, please volunteer to update the spreadsheet with information the comments in this post! If you do, add the data from the comment to the spreadsheet and reply to the original comment with Added to spreadsheet.

(h/t to [personal profile] ashling for the original coordination station post text and spreadsheet!)

Good point! Any particular mouse you'd like me to swap out for?

Nominated Nancy & Eleanor :)

I actually can't think of anyone else I want for Indexing! Henry, Sloane, and Demi are all I need.

So few of them actually have names, but I'd love to see what the high priest of Alice's group (brain blanking suddenly on what the groups who accompany individual Prices etc are called, and I don't think that one has a mentioned name?) thinks of her adventures, and the recent developments ♥ so maybe we can figure out a way to refer to them, between us? ^_^

Thanks muchly! And lol, that's awesome - they're really all I need, too, but I like if I can give other fans opportunities.

Edit: Gah, my apologies, I didn't realise today was the 20th till after I commented this. But if you're asked to swap the plural mice for one, they'd be my thought. Thanks again ❤

Alice is the Noisy Priestess at home and the Pilgrim Priestess when she's looking for Thomas. (It's unclear what the mice are going to do now that she's found him.) So she actually has two clergies, with two high priests - one is the high priest of the Pilgrim Priestess, and the other is the high priest of the Noisy Priestess. Which one do you want? Also, do you want the current one, the one who died in 1960, or one of the others?

Sorry I wasn't clearer! I meant the mouse who was the head of the Noisy Priestess' clergy during Thomas' original arrival in Buckley and up until the schism, but it may take some reviewing to label him, and I don't want to dump a load of extra work on you. I can look it up in the morning, if you like (it's 0150 here and I'm falling asleep sitting up)?

Oh my god, yes, go to bed!

There was definitely more than one head priest during the period you're talking about (since one of them died a few days after Jonathan, as related in "And Sweep Up the Wood"). But yeah, let's figure it out in the morning.

Haha, yep! Sorry, I didn't get a notification for this reply.

Ack, I am more out of date with the Patreon stories than I thought I was... If we can figure out which priest was present during "Halfway Through The Wood", and what else he was around for, that'll help, I think - but it's a different priest in charge during Alice's pregnancy with Jane, yes? Maybe we should talk this over somewhere else - are you on Discord? My username there is the same as here.

Sorry, not on Discord, but we can move to DMs if you like?

"And Sweep Up the Wood" isn't a Patreon story! It's included at the end of Spelunking Through Hell and definitely features a different priest than the one who was present during Alice's pregnancy. I'm not subscribed to McGuire's Patreon, though, so I might be missing something.

Works for me :)

Oof, yes, now I remember it - the Apraxis wasps! I'm terrible at remembering the names of the short stories attached to the books.
