Yuletide Nomination Coordination Station 2024

WARNING: Do NOT submit nominations here. Post for coordination ONLY.

This post is where people declare what they have nominated, or ask other people to nominate for them. So if you do comment and/or add your nominations to the spreadsheet, that's great, because it helps other people decide what to nominate, but it WILL NOT result in your fandoms or characters being in the tagset. The only place to nominate is the Yuletide tagset. Use the comments on this post and the coordination Google spreadsheet to coordinate nominations with others.

• For information about nominating fandoms and characters, what is eligible for nomination, and other important links and announcements, refer to yuletide_admin.


• Nominations run Monday September 9th to Friday September 20th. Nominations will be approved after that time.


• Before tags are approved (after September 20th), you can only see your own nominations.


• You can nominate up to 4 fandoms and up to 4 characters in each fandom.

Please copy and paste the following information to comment on this post. Every item is optional except fandom.

• A nomination is something you plan to nominate. A request is something you're hoping someone else will nominate for you, because you ran out of slots.

• If you can add your information to the spreadsheet yourself, please do! That would really help. PLEASE DO NOT SORT THE SHEET. If you want to view the list by nominated fandoms, use the autogenerated "sort by fandom" tabs.


• During the nomination period, the spreadsheet will get re-sorted by username daily at (approx) 7PM GMT, to keep the data tidier.

Notes: I asked how to nominate Tennis RPF to cover current players, and the mods gave this suggestion for the fandom name. I put these four because I was thinking of whatever the Jannik Sinner polycule situation is these days but there are plenty other players I'd love to see on here. . .more women, Americans, etc.

Thinking about how to nominate the legacy players and I came up with using the Federer documentary, which is easily available, as a source so:

Character 2: Rafael Nadal
Character 3: Novak Djokovic
Character 4: Andy Murray
Notes: The Big Four all fit in here neatly (and while Tennis RPF is too big as an umbrella fandom, none of these players individually are 'too big'); if somebody wants to add the younger players who are present, they can use this fandom name and nominate in their character slots. Mirka Federer has a canonical tag but I don't think would fit in the Yuletide RPF 'famous in their own right' rule, though since she's a major character in the doc there is possibly some wiggle room.

I'm not a mod (and too lazy to dig up my DW login) but since Mirka was a pro player in her own right I think an argument could be made for her fame in her own right, even if she did retire and focus on family life
