You're welcome to trans anyone you'd like! I enjoy seeing trans interpretations of characters. Please see this letter section for more on my likes around trans characters.
Additionally, here are some characters with canon trans identity and/or vibes:
Radiant Emperor: Zhu Chongba has a lot of gender feelings, though whether or not she'd identify as trans is unclear due to the historical setting.
Witch King: Kai and Arnsterath are not really trans, but considering their relationship to human bodies there's certainly a lot one could do with trans conceptions.
Sangfielle: Chine is canonically nonbinary. There's also plenty of opportunity to play around with other trans characters/metaphors using Worldbuilding.

I'd be happy to receive any trans headcanons at all! Love to see gender played around with. For Blazar specifically, feel free to invent any worldbuilding around Ultraman Genders that you please, even if it contradicts canon.

The Affair of the Mysterious Letter - Alexis Hall
Gabriel Lawson, John Wyndham (Affair of the Mysterious Letter), Joy-in-Sorrow Standfast, Shaharazad Haas
If you haven't read this amazing book the main character John Wyndham is trans. It's written from a distance of several decades in the future and implied that Gabriel Lawson will become his long suffering and very supportive husband but the book just covers their first few meetings.
I really want to see their courting, wedding, or even the wedding night.

Fandoms:
LISA (Video Games)
Fear & Hunger (Video Games)
Yume Nikki | Dream Diary
Omega Mart - Meow Wolf
Any specific fandom details, preferences, comments, etc:
LISA: Transmasc!Terry is one of my favorite headcanons for Terry Hintz, and I like to think he got top surgery and T before the Flash happened (which flips even more norms on its head, because transmascs survived with cismen. However, the Flash rendered them sterile, which still necessitates the importance of finding a girl) I'm also open to Transfem!Brad* and NB!Buddy.
*While I hc Brad and Terry as gay, I'll make an exception for Transfem!Brad so she and Terry can still be together. :D
Fear & Hunger 2: Termina: Marina is canonically a transwoman! :) Samarie's Moonscorched form is also literally called "Dysmorphia." How that relates to her obsession with Marina is up to you.
Yume Nikki: Feel free to write any of the female characters as transfem! I'd be interested in Monoko or Poniko in particular, due to them having an "alternate" form that could symbolize their gender dysphoria.
Omega Mart: There's a canonical product called Gender Fluid. Have fun with that. :)

Fandoms:
Blossom (TV) (Blossom Russo, Six LeMeure)
Degrassi the Next Generation (Any: Ellie Nash, Paige Michalchuk, Ashley Kerwin, Terri MacGregor, Emma Nelson, Craig Manning, J.T. Yorke)
Red Band Society (US TV) (Any: Emma Chota, Kara Souders, Jordi Palacios, Leo Roth)
Roseanne (Darlene Conner)
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (2010) (Any: Scott Pilgrim, Ramona Flowers, Knives Chau, Wallace Wells)
The Skeleton Twins (2014) (Maggie Dean, Milo Dean)
Any specific fandom details, preferences, comments, etc: I'm open to both trans and nonbinary interpretations. For Skeleton Twins and Blossom I'd prefer if you kept it to their canon genders if you're going with binary trans (trans female Blossom, Six, Maggie, and trans male Milo---though if you're going with a nonbinary interpretation, than ignore this), but for everyone else, go wild.

Fandoms:
- Dinotopia
Any specific fandom details, preferences, comments, etc:
I think it would be really fun to explore gender within the Dinotopian world. Since the society is built on so many eras and cultures, there's bound to be a lot of differences. I like the idea of Dinotopia being very accepting of trans people, and perhaps even developing their own cultural norms around them that may be strange or surprising to newcomers. Something with a canonical or original character being trans would be great. Something more worldbuilding with journal entries, documents, archaeological carvings, etc. would be extremely great. Very much a go wild kind of request!
I'm happy to receive trans characters for any of my other fandoms (The Addams Family, Hellboy, Jurassic Park Original Trilogy, SurrealEstate, Too Late To Apologize: A Declaration) as well, I just didn't include them here bc I don't have any particular requests for them. I do prefer transitions from canon genders over transitions to canon genders, but that is not a hard and fast rule.

- Chonny's Charming Chaos Compendium (Any)
- Shining Nikki (Nikki, Player, Lilith, Leonid)
- Leif & Thorn (Kallie Neineikura, Kiki Neineikura)
- The Most Popular Girls in School (Brittnay, Saison)
Any specific fandom details, preferences, comments, etc:
- Pretty much none of the characters listed are canon trans, sadly, but feel free to go wild! Trans canon gender, trans other binary gender, non-binary, I love them all!
- DNW: Trans characters being used as a teaching moment for cis characters, bigotry, especially slurs

Fandom Alliance-Union - C. J. Cherryh
Any specific fandom details, preferences, comments, etc: Meg & Sal: I don't have any trans headcanon here, but if you've always wanted to write Meg or Sal as trans then go ahead, it could only make Meg resonate more strongly with me.
Fandom Sing For Me - Jaymie Wagner
Any specific fandom details, preferences, comments, etc: None of the three headline characters are canonically trans, and I don't think being a trans woman would work with Amy or Amélie's backstories, but a trans Leah could be interesting to consider.
Alternatively a careful exploration of gender on the part of one or more of the characters post-canon could also be interesting.

Fandoms: Indexing - Seanan McGuire; Chalet School - Elinor M. Brent-Dyer; The Haunting of Hill House - Shirley Jackson
Details: Not all my fandoms suit, quite, but:
Gender identity tropes are very much played with in Indexing, and my headcanon is that one of my requested potential characters, Demi Santos, is non-binary.
My Chalet School request is all about queering that fandom in as many ways as possible, and there are several characters who are definitely gender non-conforming and could easily be read, or written, as trans.
For Hill House, I could perhaps see a trans Eleanor; she is so fiercely repressed and crushed by her family, and the story is set in 1959, that she could very well be an egg; Theodora's "friend" is never given any definite gender identifiers in canon, and my headcanon is that they're the '50s equivalent of genderqueer.
My likes and DNWs can be a bit daunting, but they're in my letter if this catches your eye - and thanks.

AO3 name: aedifica (millefolia)
Letter link: https://aedifica.dreamwidth.org/1443636.html
Fandoms:
Frederica, by Georgette Heyer
The Goblin Emperor series, by Katherine Addison
Hellspark, by Janet Kagan
The Steerswoman series, by Rosemary Kirstein
The Wolves of Willoughby Chase sequence, by Joan Aiken
"M.T.A.", song by the Kingston Trio
Relevant line from my letter: "Non-canonical trans or genderqueer characters: go for it if you want! I'd like the character to still be recognizably the same character as in canon, but that's a pretty broad guideline that can be interpreted multiple ways and I'm probably fine with any way you interpret it."
All the Crooked Saints / Devil Went Down to Georgia
(Anonymous) 2023-11-01 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)For Pete, I could go for a story of her having socially transitioned before the story begins or during/after; but either way, I’d rather a potential author not go into the way her family feels about it (beyond a brief mention). As far as referencing her pre-transition: I don’t mind flashbacks being described with her former name and pronouns or her current ones. Similarly, I don’t mind whether she sticks with Pete, feminizes Pete, or chooses an entirely new name — whatever makes sense for her as a character.
*it’s set in the 1960s, so I’m not sure how much medical transitioning would be available to her; I certainly don’t think she would have been able to get access to an expensive and relatively new medical procedure as a teenager
As for Johnny: same preferences above in terms of dealing with flashbacks and changing their name; as for transitioning, you can do whatever feels appropriate for the character and setting, since I am cool with a wide variety of AUs.
