yuletide | YuleTunes! (music challenge)

Hail and well met! Are you the sort of Yuletide-r that enjoys ballads, songs, ditties, tunes, and/or filks of any type? Hopefully there’s a few of you, because this is the first time this challenge has gone up.

It’s YuleTunes, folks! (i posted it as YuleFilk last night but this seems better.) This is a Yuletide minichallenge for people who want to write and receive music-y related

This could be filk, pastiches of already-existing songs, lyrics set to instrumental tunes from the source canon (or otherwise), a score or visual representation of a composition, completely original songs (whether that ends up being just lyrics written on their own, or an audio recording of an original song), or any sort of original composition. The sky’s the limit, just as long as it’s music-related.

Re: "Title still a work in progress. Suggestions welcome." if I may suggest, to avoid tagging confusion, something that doesn't have the specific word 'filk' in it? (Off the top of my head, YuleTunes, Yulesic, YuleSongs, YuleJam/Yulejamming) I have all the respect for filk and those who create it, but would probably be requesting and creating other types of music-related content for this, and so feel like it could be mildly weird or confusing to tag it YuleFilk.

Thank you for the suggestions! As 'Yulesic' sounds a bit more like a hurt/comfort challenge (not a bad idea in itself) I think I'm going to go with YuleTunes.
