Fandom Brainstorming for Yuletide 2012!

I know there's a fandom brainstorming post up on the yuletide com, but I figure that there's no harm to set up a post for people who prefer commenting on dreamwidth. So what are the three fandoms you're going to nominate for this year?

My list of nomination fandom candidate:
Sengoku Basara: a fighting game/anime franchize with a playful spin on Japan Sengoku period and runs on Rule of Cool. My introduction post here.
The Ultimates (comics): I'm very excited about the coming event, with Miles, the Hispanic Spiderman, Kitty Pryde and Steve Rogers as the coming Big Three of the universe. The comics has realistic characterization of flawed superheroes who still saves the world. It also has a female basass normal Secretary of Defence.
枯葉之蝶| Love story (music video, lyric and translation): It has Dragon! This 's a short music video which cries for more world building.
大唐红颜赋 | Tang Dynasty Girl Poem (music video, lyric and translation): Awesome women! A great chance to write women being awesome, in Space, perhaps?
Young Allies: A very well done 6-issues superhero comics with Nomad, a girl out of her time and Anya, the Spidergirl kickass while being adorable together.
Necessary Hunger by Nina Revoyr: A novel set in 1980's with lesbian girl basketball players. And a lot of pining.

(1) The Terrible Business of Salmon and Dusk / How to Disappear Completely
This is a noir-ish fantasy/mystery podiobook. There's the long novel and the shorter soft-reboot series of short stories. The short story collection is also in print. http://mykebartlett.com/?q=sand_podcasts I want Nero!fic so much.

(2) Peter Panzerfaust
I've only just read the first trade of this comic, but it has utterly stolen my heart. Peter Pan, sans magic, in 1940s France. https://www.facebook.com/PeterPanzerfaust

(3) My third nom is trickier. I'm trying to narrow it down from this list (I've already narrowed it to 4 from 6, so progress!):

Saga--Comic, six issues out with a trade coming soon. Midst a galactic war, two young parents--one from each side of the war--try to keep their infant daughter alive. SciFi+Magic. Utterly gorgeous art. I'd love a story about The Stalk. http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=40449

Trader of Stories--Two short online games and some concept art in a blog. A woman has lost her memories and goes looking for answers. As she does so, she unravels others' stories, hoping each time that one may hold a key to her own. http://traderofstories.blogspot.com/

The "Children's Fantasy" comic from xkcd--http://xkcd.com/693/ Mostly just because I want the after story. After you've saved the world in some alt-universe, how do you go back to your life as before?

"Seventy-Two Letters" by Ted Chiang--'Alchemypunk' or genetic golems or I don't know. This novella/short story creates a very compelling world and one I'd love to see explored further. Full text is here: http://web.archive.org/web/20011031174945/http://www.tor.com/72ltrs.html
