In an exchange as big and diverse as Yuletide, it turns out a lot of people would love to write or receive explicit stories, but aren't comfortable asking for them or writing them without a little more information. Yuleporn is a sub-challenge (not really a challenge) to help Yuletiders request, write, and read the porn of their Yuletide dreams.

How Do I Participate?

Fandom #1: Emma (2020)

What I like about them:

• Emma has always been a tricky canon for me to love because I have a strong DNW for father-daughter age gap. But this adaptation narrows the age gap considerably and doesn’t focus on it at all, and so it doesn’t trip that DNW for me. And I just love so much about this adaptation!
• So many FEELINGS. For example, I suspect I am not alone in being charmed, smitten, and turned on by the way Knightley flopped on the floor and had to just lie there and Feel His Feelings.
• I love the tone of this adaptation, it’s so arch and tongue-in-cheek and yet sweet.
• I love the idea of love sneaking up on Emma and Knightley and taking them by surprise. They come across as a pair of squabbling siblings, who suddenly Realize that they are very much Not That.
• The proposal was the perfect marriage of FEELINGS and ridiculousness and adorable.
• That bit the morning after the ball where they were about ready to pounce on each other??
• Okay, it’s also pretty obvious that they are both extremely attractive. And, as evidenced by the current craze for the Cordelia poster, Knightley looks very pretty when bossed around by a lady…

Any of my smut likes that speak to you for this pairing would be fabulous!! A few others that popped out to me:

• They are not interrupted the morning after the ball, and Things Proceed. Whether they are eventually interrupted in the middle is up to you! I would enjoy it either way.
• Five times Emma and Knightley almost get walked in on, and one time they do.
• The Cordelia poster, with Emma in place of the Woman!
• The floor that was flopped on gets better action the next time.

What I like about them:

• While I have nothing against Maria & Tony, the couple that I personally felt sizzled with chemistry and sexual dynamism was Anita & Bernardo. There’s an attraction, intimacy, and companionship between them that just makes me grin! They tease each other, and play with each other, and flirt up a storm, but there’s a comfort-level between them that makes me 100% sure that after “America” is over, they’re falling into bed with fireworks going. I read them as a long-term couple, probably engaged with the wedding imminent, and I majorly ship them.
• I would love a story that (temporarily or permanently) yeeted the tragedy of the movie in favor of focusing in on Anita & Bernardo. For this fandom I am 100% on board with a happy-ending canon-divergence AU (I know, I know, Shakespeare turning over in his grave), but I am also fine with a temporarily-happy story that doesn’t change canon.

What I like about them:

• I’ve always thought Eleanor of Aquitaine may be one of the most badass women in history, and I majorly ship her and Henry! Her life is a fascinating one, and I love how she was unafraid to upend not only her own life, but two empires. I prefer fic set in the time period when she and Henry were happy together, instead of later when their sons started showing their genes and causing tension, dissension, and (eventually) familial war and a marital rupture.
• Age gaps are a funny thing - while father-daughter age gap is a major turnoff for me, I find the age gap here to be really hot. (Eleanor was 30 and Henry was 19 when they married.) Even though he’s only 19, Henry is wholly an adult in his time period (the first time he mounted his own invasion of England, he was 14 years old! Like his sons would, Henry blossomed early), and is a powerful man already. But even though he’s an adult, he’s a young adult who may well be inexperienced in some ways. (Maybe he’s had lots of sex, but not any particularly adventurous sex, for example?) Meanwhile Eleanor has been Queen of France for half her life, since she was 15, and is worldly, cosmopolitan, and experienced in all sorts of ways. That experienced-older-woman/inexperienced-younger-man dynamic really works for me! Especially if Henry is very eager and enthusiastic about Eleanor and about learning.
