I didn't nominate him, but I was delighted to see Joji in the tagset!
He's a wonderful singer, and such a charming and funny guy in all the interviews and videos he appears in. (You might—actually, it's very likely if you watch YouTube regularly—that you already know him from his old days on the platform.)



He's signed under the label 88Rising, which is why we often see him interact with other musicians for promos and song releases—especially with Rich Brian. The music videos for his latest album, Nectar, follow a storyline that's slowly coming together: I collected all the theories and connections in this document if you're interested in the lore. It has a space theme and Joji plays...an evil scientist/astronaut? *sighs* Is there anything this man can't do? And the songs are really good (lo-fi hip hop & alternative R&B), I can't recommend this album enough!

As for the Cancer Crew RPF nomination: when he was still considered a YouTuber (and one of the greats, at that!) he often made videos with a bunch of other creators he was friends with. If you like boys being boys, homoeroticism, god-tier shitposting...and if you don't mind some vomit here and there...check out this playlist of their collabs. At least, the ones that haven't been deleted.

I requested the Foo Fighters again this year because I just can't get enough slash of these hotties! They have this totally adorable, loving relationship based on a huge dose of humor. Although I did not request Nirvana this year, I still want to pimp them as they were a big part of Dave's past, and awesome. 😁
