(UPDATED) Mini-challenge: canons with trans, nonbinary, genderqueer, etc. characters
Now updated to be a broader resource!
As a supplement to mtyg's mini-challenge for canon f/f and m/m couples, I present a mini-challenge for canons with trans, nonbinary, genderqueer, etc. characters. You can submit your own requests, or simply list a fandom and character(s).
And because I never met a problem that I didn't like to throw a Google form at, you can let people know about your requests by typing in just one number and one word!
Go to the Google form. It will ask you to find your signup request in this spreadsheet and enter the NUMBER of the row that contains your request. And, just to make sure that the form has the right number, please also enter your AO3 username.
(If you want, you can add information relevant to this mini-challenge that isn't in your signup or letter, but you don't have to.)
In the same form, you can also submit a fandom and character(s); unfortunately, I don't have the time just now to figure out how to pull all requests for those characters into the spreadsheet to make them easy to find. Happily, that's what the app is for!
All the requests and fandoms can be seen in this Google spreadsheet, which is automagically generated and updated.
If you have questions, please let me know!
(If this works well, I can totally offer up the request portion of the form and spreadsheet as templates for next year.)

(I can't play because, as trans-narrative as the canon for my one request is, it isn't actually stated whether anyone in the story is cis or trans, so I am assuming all cis. which is the same assumption I'm making about my other canon. and my third canon has no characters! there are no characters to be canonically anything!)

But yes if you get this to work with fandom noms (or even 'hey this character is trans/nonbinary/genderqueer'), I'd add some things!

Absolutely makes sense! I just saw an easy way to do the requests part last night and ran with it.

(honestly in some ways I'd almost rather just get an index of canonically trans/genderqueer/nonbinary characters? but that's my own preference showing, in that I don't use yuletide to aim for specific pairings the way a lot of these challenges are looking for)

that is definitely simpler to implement, but I'm kind of in love with pulling the requests like this, and think I may see a way to do it--but if I can, I can still also do a list of just canons & characters, not requests!

I just like genfic and platonic relationships too, which is where my love for just the character/fandom list comes from. :)
