Friending Meme?

(Mods: please do delete this/let me know if you want me to change anything if I've breached any rules)

Given the current combination of lots to talk about (i.e. Yuletide!) and lots of people wandering around wondering what to do with themselves over in Dreamwidth, it seemed an ideal opportunity to squee about Yuletide happiness and make some new friends/add some new subscriptions at the same time. Killing two birds with one stone, and all that. Soooo... in comments, feel free to answer as many of the following questions as you like:

1. Your name - however you wish to interpret that.
2. Your journal
3. Did you receive anything in this year's Yuletide? Link?
4. Did you write anything in this year's Yuletide? DO NOT LINK! Or give it away in any other manner, obv.
5. Have you made a recs post? Link?
6. If not, are there any stories you'd particularly like to share?
7. Favourite Yuletide fandom(s)?
8. Favourite fandoms that are Too Big For Yuletide?
9. What do you hope somebody's going to write for NYR?
10. What do you do during the rest of the year? (after all, there are nine other months to fill...)
11. Anything else you'd like to mention? (Anything! Anything at all! BEARS!)
12. Anything people should know about your journal? (e.g. content warning, or your thoughts on subscribing etiquette)

Then, go ahead and talk to people!

1. Your name - however you wish to interpret that. Elf or [archiveofourown.org profile] elfwreck
2. Your journal [personal profile] elf

3. Did you receive anything in this year's Yuletide? Link? Put it with the other ducks, a Super Dictionary fic (go read! No prior canon knowledge necessary! Has pictures!) and Luke: Forever Young, a Ghost Soup Infidel Blue fic which makes me insanely happy (GSIB has my vote for "weirdest YT fandom of all time," but explaining why would take an essay or two in itself).

4. Did you write anything in this year's Yuletide? DO NOT LINK! Or give it away in any other manner, obv. 4 stories into the main archive, 1 for Madness.

5. Have you made a recs post? Link? Two: 5 fics that you don't need canon to appreciate and Only a couple of minutes?, 12 Madness ficlets of under 500 words

6. If not, are there any stories you'd particularly like to share? Not done reccing; compiling more lists; very fond of both Pizza is a Vegetable (Daria) and Blackadder's Fifth Column (Blackadder) which both address the Occupy movement.

7. Favourite Yuletide fandom(s)? WTF? No, what I love about Yuletide is ALL THE FANDOMS too many to choose from. I especially love the song fandoms and the single-youtube-vid fandoms.
8. Favourite fandoms that are Too Big For Yuletide? Batverse DCU comics; Harry Potter; White Collar; PotC; Trek (Original & Reboot).

9. What do you hope somebody's going to write for NYR? Haven't thought that far ahead. Still busy reading all the fic.

10. What do you do during the rest of the year? (after all, there are nine other months to fill...) I write about Paganism, document conversion, copyright legalities, and the new erotica publishing house I'm working for. Also, I have a day job.

11. Anything else you'd like to mention? (Anything! Anything at all! BEARS!) I love beta work. I hang out in Yulechat to say "OF COURSE I WILL BETA YOUR 5000 WORDS ABOUT SOME BOARD GAME WHICH I'VE NEVER HEARD OF!"

12. Anything people should know about your journal? (e.g. content warning, or your thoughts on subscribing etiquette) About half my journal's contents are under lock; this includes anything detailed about my job or family, and anything I don't want to discuss with strangers. Anything public is fair game for linking, quoting or commenting. (Preferably, not whole-contents quoting, unless it's short enough that that's the only reasonable way to deal with it.) I welcome random comments from total strangers. I get snarky at vicious anonymous comments, and/or may keep them screened. Polite anon comments are fine.
