Friending Meme?

(Mods: please do delete this/let me know if you want me to change anything if I've breached any rules)

Given the current combination of lots to talk about (i.e. Yuletide!) and lots of people wandering around wondering what to do with themselves over in Dreamwidth, it seemed an ideal opportunity to squee about Yuletide happiness and make some new friends/add some new subscriptions at the same time. Killing two birds with one stone, and all that. Soooo... in comments, feel free to answer as many of the following questions as you like:

1. Your name - however you wish to interpret that.
2. Your journal
3. Did you receive anything in this year's Yuletide? Link?
4. Did you write anything in this year's Yuletide? DO NOT LINK! Or give it away in any other manner, obv.
5. Have you made a recs post? Link?
6. If not, are there any stories you'd particularly like to share?
7. Favourite Yuletide fandom(s)?
8. Favourite fandoms that are Too Big For Yuletide?
9. What do you hope somebody's going to write for NYR?
10. What do you do during the rest of the year? (after all, there are nine other months to fill...)
11. Anything else you'd like to mention? (Anything! Anything at all! BEARS!)
12. Anything people should know about your journal? (e.g. content warning, or your thoughts on subscribing etiquette)

Then, go ahead and talk to people!
graycardinal: Yuletide warning flag (Yuletide Crossing)

Name: For fanfic purposes, "Gray Cardinal"; I have also lately adopted the nom de Oz "Mycroft Mason" as a print byline.

Your journal: Here at DW, as migrated from LiveJournal.

Did you receive anything in this year's Yuletide?
Dreamweaver's Lament Post-canon to a series of excellent fantasy novels from the 1980s by Tom Deitz, beginning with Windmaster's Bane. Even if you haven't read these, you may enjoy the story.

Did you write anything in this year's Yuletide?
Indeed I did, right over...oh, wait, not yet. (One story.)

Have you made a recs post?
Right here: fandoms include Batman Beyond/Blue BeetleJustice League/JLU, Muppet Show/Alton Brown, Anne McCaffrey's "Ship" series (specifically The Ship Who Searched, cowritten with Mercedes Lackey, Trixie Belden/Castle, Valdemar (Lackey/Tangled, and Young Wizards/Justice League/JLU. (Yes, there are a bunch of crossovers in there....)

Favorite Yuletide fandom(s)? Oy. Lots of them. There's always good work in Duane's Young Wizards universe, and the Muppet Show fics are excellent this year. Also I've written Wizard of Oz stories twice (one has just been reprinted in Oziana). This by no means exhausts the list, but it's a start.

Favorite fandoms that are Too Big For Yuletide?
Kim Possible lured me into writing fanfic; Castle's kept me there. And the classics, of course: Buffy, Who, Stargate (SG:1, mostly), Star Trek (TOS/TNG, mostly).

What do you hope somebody's going to write for NYR?
I figure it's best to wait and be surprised.

What do you do during the rest of the year?
Read, write, work, play cards (not for money), family time.

Anything else you'd like to mention? (Anything! Anything at all! BEARS!)
"Especially the bears, Mr. Spock." (Twenty bonus points for anyone who recognizes the source of that quote....)

Anything people should know about your journal?
It's mostly a fanfic journal, and thus quiet a lot of the time (especially when I forget to update). I'm an open friending zone; feel free to board the ride at any time, and I will probably friend back. (If I don't, it's a matter of benign inattention, not editorial judgment.)
