Friending Meme?
(Mods: please do delete this/let me know if you want me to change anything if I've breached any rules)
Given the current combination of lots to talk about (i.e. Yuletide!) and lots of people wandering around wondering what to do with themselves over in Dreamwidth, it seemed an ideal opportunity to squee about Yuletide happiness and make some new friends/add some new subscriptions at the same time. Killing two birds with one stone, and all that. Soooo... in comments, feel free to answer as many of the following questions as you like:
1. Your name - however you wish to interpret that.
2. Your journal
3. Did you receive anything in this year's Yuletide? Link?
4. Did you write anything in this year's Yuletide? DO NOT LINK! Or give it away in any other manner, obv.
5. Have you made a recs post? Link?
6. If not, are there any stories you'd particularly like to share?
7. Favourite Yuletide fandom(s)?
8. Favourite fandoms that are Too Big For Yuletide?
9. What do you hope somebody's going to write for NYR?
10. What do you do during the rest of the year? (after all, there are nine other months to fill...)
11. Anything else you'd like to mention? (Anything! Anything at all! BEARS!)
12. Anything people should know about your journal? (e.g. content warning, or your thoughts on subscribing etiquette)
Then, go ahead and talk to people!

Then, go ahead and talk to people!

I'll start!
2. Your journal -
3. Did you receive anything in this year's Yuletide? Link? - Yes! I received The Owl and the Cuckoo, a gorgeous piece focusing on the women of Love's Labour's Lost
4. Did you write anything in this year's Yuletide? DO NOT LINK! Or give it away in any other manner, obv. - I did. I wrote a main story and a treat.
5. Have you made a recs post? Link? - Not so far - I'm waiting until the reveal, as there's a story I really want to rec, but if I do it will be a bit of a giveaway that I wrote the only other story in that fandom.
6. If not, are there any stories you'd particularly like to share? - I can highly recommend Bagthorpes vs. Zombies, which wasn't my gift but might as well have been, because I did request the Bagthorpe Saga, and this story is absolutely fantastic. In character, and with zombies.
7. Favourite Yuletide fandom(s)? - Mostly it's favourite books, mainly from my childhood. Yuletide always throws up some fantastic stuff in Swallows and Amazons, and Lord Peter Wimsey, to name two.
8. Favourite fandoms that are Too Big For Yuletide? - Doctor Who. All of it.
9. What do you hope somebody's going to write for NYR? - I saw a fantastic prompt for Tipping the Velvet, centred on Florence Banner. I don't think I could write it myself, because of all the research, but I really hope somebody does.
10. What do you do during the rest of the year? (after all, there are nine other months to fill...) - Read, walk, sing, sew...
11. Anything else you'd like to mention? (Anything! Anything at all! BEARS!) - um...
12. Anything people should know about your journal? (e.g. content warning, or your thoughts on subscribing etiquette) - I'm quite happy for people to just wander over and subscribe. I may or may not grant access, but you're not missing much if I don't. Depending on my mood, I go through phases of commenting a lot, and then not commenting at all, but I almost always keep reading.
