I had nominated this last year, and then unfortunately didn't have any request slots left to request it as a fic! I haven't had a chance to read the second book yet - saving it for an upcoming flight - but I'd be interested! What characters were you thinking of nominating?

Oh man, I'm sorry I didn't see it in the tag set last year (although I may have read it in later October i.e. just a few weeks too late for Yuletide...) Frankly, my favourite characters are Mary, Diana, and Catherine, but one of Mrs. Poole or Alice would be amazing to include. Really, the characters are all so great it's hard to narrow it down; I'd probably say in my letter something like 'Anyone in the text and if you want to mash them up with other characters from Victorian Gothic/speculative literature, go ahead'.
