Fandom Promo!

Welcome to the Fandom Promo post, everyone!
Here's where you get those eyes on your fandoms for sign ups!
Share what makes your Yuletide fandoms the shiniest and why you love them. A big part of Yuletide is how small our fandoms can be, and this is a good way to make sure other people know what gems there are out there!

WHAT MAKES IT GREAT: 1950s space adventures written for kids, as optimistic and squeaky-clean as you would imagine! Light comfort reading with really fun characters and also a lot of possible ships available. If you want some low-key optimistic sci-fi to read, this series is a great choice and all the books are bite-sized. (There's also a TV show, but it has not aged half as well.)
WHERE CAN I FIND IT?(optional): All but one of the books in the series are free on Project Gutenberg! (The last one is apparently a team change-up, so it has less to do with the rest of the series.) You can find them here: http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/author/8081 (Series order is available online or you can ask and I can give it to you!)

I may own most of the series in physical copy. I may be wrangling it on AO3. While I can't say this is something I will personally offer or request, I will be very happy if it gets more fic.

1. Stand By for Mars
2. Danger in Deep Space
3. On the Trail of the Space Pirates
4. The Space Pioneers
5. The Revolt on Venus
6. Treachery in Outer Space
7. Sabotage in Space
8. The Robot Rocket (not on Project Gutenberg, and from what I hear, a little out of step with some of the others because a member of the main team is mostly missing)
I hope you enjoy them!
