What's awesome about it:

Do you like slashy action films? Do you like antagonistic "I don't like you but we have to work together" ships? Do you like James McAvoy and/or Mark Strong?

McAvoy plays Max Lewinsky, an angry, bitter, jaded cop who got injured years ago trying to take down infamous bank robber Jacob Sternwood (Mark Strong), who got away. Years later Sternwood comes back to London and Lewinsky sees it as his chance to finally arrest him, but then *spoilery plot reasons happen* and they have to work together.

The plot is tropey in the best ways, McAvoy and Strong are both great actors with sizzling chemistry, and it's an aesthetically pleasing movie with fun action scenes. If you like Foe Yay with History turning into "we're a surprisingly good team", you'll love this movie. It regularly gets a couple of requests and offers every Yuletide, so if you get into it, you probably won't be alone. :D

I can confirm it's currently on American Netflix, because it's on my to-watch list.

Unfortunately, not on UK Netflix - I really liked this movie when it came out. I came away with very strong feelings about the central pairing and Mark Strong (in general) however, no dice. :(

I'm sure this was on telly the other week, rats! I'll keep my eye out for it, it sounds like a good popcorn night movie.
