Belatedly, second the rec for Lazarus--and also for Rucka's new comic series, The Old Guard.

I'll try to do a write up downthread but briefly, it's the story of immortal soldiers who just have to keep soldiering on, whether they want to or now. Rucka-competent female lead, lots of queer content, and just five issues in!
