Sign-ups open
It took longer than I expected, but sign-ups for Yuletide 2010 are open.
This year, you must choose 3 or 4 different fandoms for your requests (no more requesting twice for one fandom) and you can only offer up to 10 fandoms. In return, matching is supposed to only take a day or so and you can offer and request categories and the algorithm will try to also match that. Here is a helpful video, and the second part of the helpful video for the sign-up process.
The AO3 is under a lot of stress right now, so I suggest that if you can wait a while longer, do so (I filled out my request and 4 of my offers with 'any' characters and saved that, since I figure the autocomplete tags thing is a lot of strain on the servers. Since AO3 will let you edit sign-ups I'll just go back and refine my offers and add the missing ones on Monday or so)
