I'm not sure if this counts by this metric, but it's certainly a modern ballad that harkens very much back to classic ballads that mingle sex and violence so! Cat-Eye Willie Claims His Lover - Dave Carter and Tracy Grammer (Song)

It and other modern murder ballads have been excluded from this category in the past. That one in particular does come closest in spirit to a traditional ballad, though.
