I really love seeing fanart of my favorite characters, especially for my rarer ships. I honestly can’t think of a style of fanart I don’t think is cool. I love both realistic and cartoony styles, I think that chibis are cute, I have a lot of delight for reinterpretations of visual canons (some of my favorite pieces of fanart are setting AUs). That said, some things I especially like in art:
- Draw my faves with wings and I will love you
- Tarot, dream imagery, and other symbology
- Space, the ocean, and other vast environments
- Characters being relaxed/happy
- Snuggling with partner(s)/friends
- Interacting with animals
- Action poses (dance, combat, playing games, etc.)
- Characters examining artifacts/plants/other neat things
- Body fat, stretch marks, scars
- Body hair (esp. pubic hair)
- Bondage/Shibari
- Bruises, hickeys, scratch marks
- Dramatic bloodiness
- Using magic/technology
- Light! (dramatic black-and-white shadow-work, subtle dappled sunlight, a magical/mystical light-source, etc.)
- Color! (jewel tones, neon, pastel, monochrome, highlights... I like it all)
- Black and white/Grayscale art! (making art read clearly when you aren't using color is awesome!)
- Lineless art awes me (it's hard for me!)
- Beautiful lineart delights me (but obviously isn't necessary)

If you want to draw NSFW stuff, go ahead! My only preference is that if you're drawing characters who normally have body hair, I want to see the body hair! Especially pubic hair. That's basically my only preference as far as genitals go. xD I like seeing realistic body types (I especially like seeing chubby/fat characters!). I am interested in art of disabled characters and accessibility devices. I like seeing trans characters (see the details in General Likes for more info there!), I'm down for intersex characters, and I enjoy anthros and xeno and things like that too.

Prompts:

For Jet Lag, as noted in my letter my aversion to fluff does not apply in art and I would be thrilled to get cute best-friend cuddles or even just Ben baking cookies. But my fic prompts are more about angst and if you are into angsty art I will eat it up, you can go full pieta-style cradling each other's bodies if you want. Hurt/comfort, reaching for each other, exhaustedly leaning on each other, desperately trying to pull someone to safety, go for it. I would prefer to avoid kissing or anything overtly sexual.

For Exiles, there is almost no fanart of Felice so anything would be great. Canonically she's a petite teenage girl with wispy platinum-blond hair who everything thinks looks sweet and delicate until she starts breaking bones with her bare hands (girl has issues). You could draw her in her hockey 'armor', or even playing a game, looking happy and excited. You could draw her hovering in the air, on power overload, hair wild and sparks flying from her fingers, ready to destroy the world. Riding on the back of a flying beast, laughing with the glee of the wild hunt? Surrounded by crows in the style of the Morrigan?

Final Fantasy VI: I'd really love takes on Shadow as Clyde or Shadow in the process of becoming Shadow, and I'd additionally love depictions of him interacting with any of the characters mentioned in my letter (Baram, Relm and/or her mother, Strago, Sabin, Cyan, etc...). Ship art would be a delight too if one of the ships in my letter (Clyde/Baram, Clyde/Relm's Mother, Shadow/Cyan, Shadow/Sabin) appeals to you as an artist. In terms of style, feel free to imitate or not imitate Amano's artwork and its groovy, surreal flourishes. Lastly, I am 110% here if you want to do a piece featuring this gloomy loner man and his dog. Interceptor art is more than welcome.

Final Fantasy Tactics: Any illustration of the dramatic canon events with which Zalbag is entangled (Zeakden, the confrontation at Igros, the mosfungus scene) would be lovely, as would any art showing him interacting with the other members of his household (Absolutely game for him interacting with kid!Alma or kid!Ramza and I'm eternally here for Dycedarg + Zalbag + goat or Capricorn imagery). If you are inspired to do ship art or something that plays into one of my darker prompts, feel absolutely free to try these things out in a visual medium. Lastly, if you want to do something a little offbeat, things that have some sort of medievalish art style (illuminated manuscripts, stained glass, etc...) would be great for this canon.

I'm not sure how useful my letter is for art, but I'd love artwork for all of these! For the book fandoms, any kind of visual take on what the characters or the settings might look like would be great; for the visual fandoms, something character-centric would be great. I like art styles from realistic to highly stylised, full or limited palettes, stark contrast or something gentler. Recently, I've also found stained glass-style art very delightful, in case that's something that interests you.

I love art that focuses on one tiny moment in canon and puts it in the spotlight, AU moments of what might have been, or missing scenes. Action or domestic, romantic or angsty or both. Characters touching, or looking at each other. I also love portraits of individual characters, or for worldbuilding, depictions of scenery, objects, maps ... (Maybe spaceships for the SF books, or something steampunky for Nantucket!) Or more symbolic artwork that doesn't depict any particular scene. Or (where applicable) fanart for my own fic!
