Queering the Tide 2024
There are many ways of queering texts and characters. This challenge is for any and all of them! The widest possible definition of queering is used here. If you think your prompt counts, then do so we.
To participate, leave a comment on this post linking to your letter, so anyone interested in queering your canon for yuletide can find you. Tag any fics for this mini-challenge with Queering The Tide. (I suggest you tag both Queering the Tide and TransTide if the two happen to overlap.)

Fandom 1: Candela Obscura (requested character: Sean Finnerty)
Any specific fandom details, preferences, comments, etc: This is a queernorm setting. I'd love for that to be explored more in how it affects people's views and thoughts on relationships, marriage and gender roles, and/or receive a story about any of the following ships: Marion/Sean, Jean/Marion/Sean, Nathaniel/Sean, Marion/Nathaniel/Sean, Marion/Jean/Nathaniel/Sean or Lightkeeper/Sean.
Fandom 2: Fear & Hunger (Video Games) (requested "characters": Crow Mauler and/or Worldbuilding).
Any specific fandom details, preferences, comments, etc: Fear & Hunger has characters who are canonically queer and trans. I'd love to read a story exploring what it means to be queer, trans or otherwise non-normative in this setting. Is it harder or easier due to all the horrors hiding in the shadows? Does Sylvian, the Old God of love and fertility, have any specific blessings for people seeking out love that their family might not approve of - blessings that might go horrifically wrong and thus should be avoided or used as last resorts? (OBS! These are horror games that contain pretty much every awful thing you can imagine, just as a heads-up).
Fandom 3: Killjoys (TV) (requested characters: Alvis Akari and/or Fancy Lee).
Any specific fandom details, preferences, comments, etc: This is a queernorm setting. I'd love for that to be explored more in how it affects people's views and thoughts on relationships and gender roles, and/or receive a story about any of the following ships: Fancy/Alvis, Fancy/D'avin/Dutch, Fancy/Johnny, Alvis/D'avin/Dutch, Alvis/Fancy/D'avin/Dutch, Alvis/Johnny or Alvis/Fancy/Johnny.
Fandom 4: Rook & Rose – M. A. Carrick (requested character: Derossi Vargo).
Any specific fandom details, preferences, comments, etc: This is a queernorm setting. I'd love for that to be explored more in how it affects people's views and thoughts on relationships, marriage and gender roles, and/or receive a story about any of the following ships: Derossi Vargo/Iascat Novrus, Derossi Vargo/Ren/Grey, Derossi Vargo/anyone you can think of except his mentor Alsius or underaged characters. Derossi Vargo is heavily implied to be aromantic and that's 100% my headcanon, so please don't make him fall in romantic love with anyone.
