The film is an amazing blend of history and dark eroticism, so I’d love anything in that vein. It would be fun to see Anne and Abigail play out different power dynamics via sex — Anne dominating Abigail but Abigail’s really in control, Anne submitting to Abigail but Anne’s really in control, the dynamic unexpectedly switching mid-sex, or any combination thereof. I love how fucked up these characters are and I’m happy for the fic to get dark. Misc suggestions: Anne manipulating Abigail into performing increasingly extreme acts on herself, rather than just pleasuring Anne as in the film. My ideal smut for this pairing is less dark than it is for The Favourite, but I still want to get into those delicious monarch/favourite power dynamics. I’m very into the thought of Richard developing an intense crush on Robert as he grows up and essentially demanding that Robert initiate him into sex, though it would also be fun if Robert knows Richard is into him and simply pretends to ‘seduce’ him, to spare Richard the embarrassment of begging for sex.
