Season’s Treatings mini-challenge
Do you love receiving or writing end of year holiday stories? Are you prompting a snowed in Hanukkah celebration or an Australian New Year's beach party? Season's Treatings may be for you!
This mini-challenge is all about November, December and January holidays, traditions, and cultural celebrations big and small and all over the globe--and perhaps some fantasy worlds, who knows. If you want to prompt it, someone may want to write it.

Holiday(s) Requested: Christmas, New Years, Diwali (also open to others if there's something you think would work!)
Fandom and character(s): (Requested any for all fandoms)
Prompts: In general, Christmas/New Years/Holiday times with every- and anyone.
Some more specific prompts pulled from my letter:
For Koisenu Futari: What are holidays like when they're all living together, and when Satoru moves out? How have holidays changed for Satoru and/or Sakuko over the years, especially Christmas which tends to be for children and lovers, and thus might come with some societal expectations that they've never quite been comfortable with?
For Dramacon: Okay, so, where I'm from, there's a tiny industry-run convention that happens every year in December, and generally manages to be little more than an overcrowded dealer's room and everyone showing up in their slightly-more-Christmassy-than-usual cosplays. If you wanted to do a take on that with the cast, and have them all show up in holiday cosplay and try to buy each other Christmas presents without anyone noticing (and/or exchange ones gotten at other times) I would gleefully adore it. Of course, a more full-scale con would also be a lot of fun, but there is something about the absolute trash of a "dealer's room and not much else" convention that I think could make for a fun disaster.
For Gourmet Hound: I you'd like to show another Christmas, and describe in detail Meyer's face when he actually receives one of those ugly sweaters for himself? I will love you forever.

My letter has info and links to where to find all my requested fandoms!
Holiday(s) Requested: Christmas, generic solstice/winter-themed works.
Fandoms and characters:
- Pentiment (Video Game)
Mathieu of Neuchâtel
Rüdeger of Bad Tölz
- Solstice (MoaCube Visual Novel)
Galen (Solstice)
Kasiya (Solstice)
- Tesla Note (Anime & Manga)
Mickey Miller (Tesla Note)
Oliver Thornton (Tesla Note)
Prompts:
For all my fandoms, I welcome works where my requested characters notice that winter is coming and get ready for the cold season. I ship all the pairings as well, so shippy works are very welcome! Smut is welcome as well (for example, huddling for warmth can get a little steamy...)
In Pentiment, my requested characters are 16th century Benedictine monks (so Catholic) in the first parts of the story, and Catholic priests in the last part. I'm not very picky about historical accuracy, but for them I'd prefer something focused on Christmas where their faith is mentioned, because of the context and their characterization.
In Solstice, well, it's in the name! Just pick anything from my general likes/prompts, make it about winter/solstice and I'll be happy. :)
In Tesla Note I'm requesting two American characters in our century, so I'm picturing something more generic about celebrating Christmas. I think it'd be cute, especially if it helps the characters getting closer. I don't imagine them belonging to a specific religious group.
For my DNWs, please check my letter!

Holiday(s) Requested: Christmas, New Year's, but I'm also happy with Halloween (esp. for Eye Candy) and general fall/winter themed fics
Fandoms and characters:
* Assault on Precinct 13 (2005) - Jake Roenick/Marion Bishop
* Eye Candy (TV) - Tommy Calligan/Bubonic
* In the Flesh (TV) - Kieren Walker/Gary Kendal
* Lord of War (2005) - Yuri Orlov/Jack Valentine
Prompts: I don't specifically prompt for holiday themed fics in my letter, but I'd love fic set with a backdrop for holidays for any of these fandoms.
"Assault on Precinct 13" is canonically set at Christmas, so picking that up (maybe as a reunion one year later) would fit very well.
For "Eye Candy", I'd love to see Bubonic playing mind-games with Tommy especially around the holiday season or at Halloween, or maybe something set at Lindy's and Sophia's holiday or NYE party, or Bubonic being in an unusually morose mood over the festive season.
Similarly for "Lord of War", I can imagine that the holidays wouldn't be an easy time for Yuri and would love to see him and Jack clashing during that time, and for "In the Flesh", it would be fun to see any fic set before the backdrop of Christmas in Roarton!

Holiday(s) Requested: Lunar New Year or ANY winter holiday that would be celebrated in China. You could also make up a festival if you wish for some of these that don't take place in our universe (we have an example of this in the Mountain and Moon Festival in Love Between Fairy and Devil). Though Lunar New Year is technically in February in 2024, it's often in January as well (it was in 2023), so I believe it would still qualify. Plus, none of these characters would use the Gregorian calendar anyway.
Fandom and character(s):
长月烬明 | Till the End of the Moon (TV)
Must Feature: Tantai Jin, Li Susu
云之羽 | My Journey to You (TV)
Must Feature: Yun Weishan, Gong Ziyu
莲花楼 | Mysterious Lotus Casebook (TV)
Must Feature: Li Lianhua, Di Feisheng
长相思 | Lost You Forever (TV)
Must Feature: Xiaoyao, Tushan Jing
苍兰诀 | Love Between Fairy and Devil (TV)
Must Feature: Dongfang Qingcang, Xiao Lanhua
Prompts: I am super not picky here. I'd just like stories that adhere to the likes and dislikes outlined in my letter- and that revolve around winter celebrations!

Holiday(s) Requested: Chanukah, New Years
Fandom and character(s):
Chanukah: Lizzie McGuire (Gordo &/ Lizzie)
New Years:
The Cabots - Cat Sebastian (Peter, Caleb, Daniel, Alex) [soviet nye for daniel and alex!! ♥]
The End of the Fucking World (TV) (James, Alyssa)
A League of Extraordinary Women - Evie Dunmore (Tristan, Lucie)
Lizzie McGuire (Lizzie, Gordo)
Mad Men (Pete, Peggy)
Seducing the Sedgwicks - Cat Sebastian (Hartley, Martin, Will)
Prompts:
For Lizzie & Gordo, I'd really love to see them celebrating Chanukah together - maybe Lizzie shopping for Gordo, or Gordo inviting her over for latkes (and the great debate: sour cream or applesauce?), or really just anything! I think it'd be cute! Platonic and shippy are both good!
For New Years:
Cabots - what does New Years feel like in LA for Peter and Caleb? Alex's family surely does Soviet New Years (given that they're Ukrainians who emigrated in the... 60s?), so I'd love to see Daniel going over to exchange gifts and spend time with Alex's family.
LOEW, Lizzie, Sedgwicks - I have no specific prompts, but I'd love something cozy and soft. I'm not really sure whether New Years was a big deal in the Regency or Victorian era, but maybe they make it one?
End of the Fucking World - I just think they need a respite. A metaphorical fresh start. I'm fine with something in keeping with canon tone, or something gentler.
Mad Men - honestly, I have no specific prompts here, but I think New Years in New York while trying to avoid all the tourists (because the ball drop was already a thing) could be a fun backdrop for a fic!
