Two for One 2022 (aka The Crossover Challenge)

Reposting [personal profile] regency's post from last year, with permission.

Two for One is an annual sub-challenge to help people who like crossovers and/or fusions find one another's requests.

To participate, simply copy-paste the following into a comment:
AO3 Name:
Letter Link:
Crossover Type: (ie. crossover, fusion, or either)
Potential Fandom Combinations: (list all combinations you're interested in, ex. James Bond/Ted Lasso, Succession/Squid Game)
Prompts!: (as many and as detailed as you like)

One of the fandoms in each pairing must be one you are requesting for Yuletide; however, the other doesn’t have to be. It doesn’t even have to be in the tagset at all!

Some clarification about crossover types:
Crossovers tend to involve Fandom A's characters interacting with Fandom B's characters or worldbuilding, with everyone retaining their canon backgrounds. Ex. Harley Quinn and The X-Men team up to defeat a villain, or Enola Holmes falls into a portal that takes her to Westeros.

Fusions tend to be AUs in which Fandom A's characters have always existed in Fandom B's setting instead of their own, often replacing Fandom B's characters. Ex. Bucky Barnes as a contestant in the Hunger Games, where Fury and Howard Stark are referees. (A fic like this in which Hunger Games characters also appear would be a hybrid between a fusion and crossover.)

Crossover Type: Any

Potential Fandom Combinations:

  • Gardeners' World (TV 1968)/Grand Designs (UK TV): Houses and gardens go together like houses and gardens! I would love some kind of crossover episode between the two, or a merging of both.

I also watch Grand Designs Australia and Grand Designs New Zealand if you want to use one of those instead for the crossover.

  • Gardeners' World (TV 1968)/Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell - Susanna Clarke: JSMN would work so well merged in with Gardeners World! Hurtfew Abbey especially seems perfect for a Gardeners World visit. What are things like in JSMN gardens? How would the Gardeners World presenters present them?

  • NumberBlocks (TV)/Fiber Arts (Anthropomorphic): So much of fiber arts is math. I would love to see an episode where fiber arts are involved. Special request to include knitting a row and then counting and finding you've somehow added or lost a stitch.

  • NumberBlocks (TV)/Wishbone (TV): Childrens television crossover! Make the dog do math. Count the dog. Stand on the dog's head and wonder why nothing is changing. Create a version of math that includes dogs.

  • Westing Game - Ellen Raskin/Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975): Sam Westing goes around looking for heirs and is told he only accomplished anything by exploiting the workers.

  • Westing Game - Ellen Raskin/Wishbone (TV): In which somebody is played by a dog.

  • Westing Game - Ellen Raskin/The President's Daughter series - Ellen Emerson White: The President's Daughter folks are on the East Coast in the 80s, Judge Ford and Turtle are in Wisconsin in the late 70s and early 80s, but Judge Ford ends up in DC, and Turtle's life as a corporate lawyer will involve some travel. What kind of interactions do they have?

  • Westing Game - Ellen Raskin/Gardeners' World (TV 1968): Turtle creates a puzzle garden. Either they come to visit her, or she sends in a viewer video.

  • Westing Game - Ellen Raskin/Grand Designs (UK TV): Sisters T. R. (CEO of Westing Paper Products) and Angela (Directory of Surgery at a local hospital) are building a home for the both of them and their families, that must suit their current busy lives and will age with them as they look toward retirement. Their families each need their own space, with communal spaces linking the halves of the home together, and with plenty of room for guests and visitors. Sustainability is key, as is a sense of fun.

I also watch Grand Designs Australia and Grand Designs New Zealand if you want to use one of those instead for the crossover.
