Two for One 2022 (aka The Crossover Challenge)
Reposting
regency's post from last year, with permission.
Two for One is an annual sub-challenge to help people who like crossovers and/or fusions find one another's requests.
To participate, simply copy-paste the following into a comment:
AO3 Name:
Letter Link:
Crossover Type: (ie. crossover, fusion, or either)
Potential Fandom Combinations: (list all combinations you're interested in, ex. James Bond/Ted Lasso, Succession/Squid Game)
Prompts!: (as many and as detailed as you like)
One of the fandoms in each pairing must be one you are requesting for Yuletide; however, the other doesn’t have to be. It doesn’t even have to be in the tagset at all!
Some clarification about crossover types:
• Crossovers tend to involve Fandom A's characters interacting with Fandom B's characters or worldbuilding, with everyone retaining their canon backgrounds. Ex. Harley Quinn and The X-Men team up to defeat a villain, or Enola Holmes falls into a portal that takes her to Westeros.
• Fusions tend to be AUs in which Fandom A's characters have always existed in Fandom B's setting instead of their own, often replacing Fandom B's characters. Ex. Bucky Barnes as a contestant in the Hunger Games, where Fury and Howard Stark are referees. (A fic like this in which Hunger Games characters also appear would be a hybrid between a fusion and crossover.)

Crossover Type: Fusion
Potential Fandom Combinations: Famous Five - Enid Blyton
Prompts!: I requested Julian and Dick, and I'd be delighted to see them turn up in an AU: Historical, Mythological, Fantasy, Fairy Tale, even a Classic Movie if you can make it work. (Details in my letter.) In short, my DNWs aside, there would probably be no AUs I wouldn't love for these two.
Crossover Type: Either
Potential Fandom Combinations: Baroque Music RPF and 19th Century CE Poets & Painters RPF
Prompts!: I requested Farinelli, Vivaldi, Keats, Shelley, Wilde and Severn, and if you want to mix and match between these fandoms in a straightforward crossover (with some time shenanigans or no explanation at all for anyone's presence in the wrong time), that would be as lovely as to see them in a fusion AU. Again, historical, mythological and fantasy settings would all be great.
Crossover Type: Fusion
Potential Fandom Combinations: The Haunting (1963)
Prompts!: I requested John Markway and Luke Sanderson, and I'm completely on board for them turning up in some wacky AU. I could see another horror story working well, as long as there's an equal lack of gore; maybe a Victorian/Edwardian era ghost story? Or a Jules Verne tale? Historical AUs would absolutely work for them but, likewise, I'm fine with them beings gods or elves or mermen. :)
Crossover Type: Either
Potential Fandom Combinations: Thunder Rock (1942) and Pandora and the Flying Dutchman (1951)
Prompts!: Characters requested are David Charleston and Streeter. As much as I love the lighthouse setting of the movie, it can be set in another time. Or it could have the WWII setting, but a different location, maybe?
And here's a fairly specific crossover idea: James Mason, who plays Streeter, played the Flying Dutchman in the wonderfully odd "Pandora and the Flying Dutchman"; David as Pandora? This would be a mix of fusion and crossover that would be quite amazing. :)
