Fandom: Loin des hommes | Far from Men (2014) (here is the trailer on IMDB)

Prompt summary: I'm yearning for these two since I went to the theatre several years ago and witnessed their relationship unfold. Came for Aragorn, stayed for Camus! ;) To be honest, at this point I wouldn't mind reading a pet hairdresser!AU with them, really. Hell, as long as they're kind-of in character I'll be crying hot tears of delight. Generally, I'm a sucker for enemies-to-friends-to-lovers stories, but you can even cut the friends part, ahem. What about some canon divergence from the ending on: Mohamed maybe places a kiss of gratitude on Daru's hands, or temple, or lips before disappearing into the desert? Or maybe something else had happened in that brothel…? You tell me.

Fandom: In These Words - Guilt Pleasure

Prompt summary: This one hits me square in the hurt/recovery kink, so... that. That would be great. Also relationship progression during the time from their first hookup to Katsuya's abduction, and the direct aftermath. I've read a few of their prequels (Maybe Someday, Equilibrium, Undertow) so feel free to bring those in, but please don't mention David, for I have a heavy dislike for him. I would, however, like an examination of the sheer about of trauma that has been heaped on Katsuya, and how he deals with that weight, how it shaped him, and how Kenji, in contrast, deals (or seemingly mostly ignores?) what happened to him. Also what happens after the charade they played to make Katsuya remember; is there a way back for them?
And some ideas:
- Some quiet moments in their relationship; Kenji falling even harder, Katsuya's resolve to stay emotionally uninvolved gains a few cracks.
- Fast forward a few years, and there's a new case...
- Recovery stories. Seriously. Physically, psychologically, sexually, whichever you like.

Prompt summary: I know this movie is not perfect and has a fair number of questionable or problematic elements, but I love it and a large part of why I do is Harry Mitchell. I just adore Anthony Mackie in his soft sweaters and his fetching hats, with his gentle demeanor, and I'd love to know more about him. (I've always had this fantasy that Sam Wilson is basically Harry Mitchell if he was granted the life of a human.) There's so little known about them in the film that I feel like you have a blank slate here. Do the Adjustors even get to be humans, or would they want to be? What was it like for Harry to work on both David's and David's dad's timelines? How does he feel about helping David and Elise and going against his own organization? Do they have private lives, and what would Harry's be? If you wanted to put Harry with another character, that's totally fine, or just write Harry and explore his life, I know I'll be thrilled. ETA; the movie is very dudecentric and cishet and we never see female adjustors or subjects. It could be really interesting to explore whether Harry’s ever fallen in love with a subject or fellow adjustor before, male or female, and how that might affect a plan (or his willingness to help David in the movie). Heck, maybe he was assigned to Steve Rogers back in the day!

Prompt summary: Duncan -- he stayed with Sydney throughout her life. Her mother is in a mental facility, her father and sister are dead -- or not, but Duncan has remained a constant. He knew kabbalah symbols before the practice was as famous as it is now. He's not plugged in to the virtual world, but he deals in the mystic. In "Escape," his prolonged VR.5 interlude was entirely inside his own head, something no one else had done. I'd like to know how he made his choice to stay at Sydney's side. I'd rather keep Duncan and Sydney as a platonic relationship.
There's also the neon sign on the roof of their building. Seymour's with its flashing lights rotating through "Eat More, Sleep More, Play More" -- and in VR, Sydney (and others) certainly "see more" than they otherwise would. Sydney and Duncan often meet late at night under it. What does the Buddhist-leaning Duncan make of it?

Here's my most recent letter with this fandom. I requested this fandom every year from 2016 to 2020 and I somehow just never ended up matched on it. When I tried nominating it in 2022, it turned out it was no longer eligible for Yuletide. I think the 2021 re-release of the game gave it a boost in popularity and sent it over the limit! Since this fandom can't be in Yuletide anymore, I'll be really grateful to anyone who sees this post and writes me a story.
Prompt summary: I'd like a hurt/comfort story that takes place before the start of the game at the Knight Academy. Link gets sick or hurt and his friends have to take care of him, or maybe he's struggling with learning how to be a knight and his friends have to cheer him up. Prompt summary: This is by far my rarest fandom that I continually submit, and I hope that one day someone will love it as much as I do. It's a series of 13 romance novels centered around the British opera world. They were written in the 1960s-1980s, and they are just lovely and charming and funny and so chock full of actual knowledge about this world. The author was deeply in love with opera--every aspect of it--and it shows through. The love of music and working hard shows through in every novel, and her romance writing is really quite good, I am so impressed at how well she packages a story in only 190 pages. Her characters are very dear to my heart, and I think about them a lot. I would like fic for two novels in the series (each one is a standalone romance in an interconnected world) so my prompt filler wouldn't have to read all 13 novels. Just one or two! And the writing is truly so enjoyable.

Prompt summary: in the world of this book, there are some people who live their lives over and over and remember all their previous lives - and Harry August is one of them. I'm most interested in the extremely complex relationship he has with his friend/enemy/counterpart Vincent, which is very much the core of the book's plot, and in Vincent himself, a somewhat enigmatic figure we only ever see filtered through Harry's narration.
There's just so much to work with between Harry and Vincent! There is betrayal! There are secrets! There is a "he thinks he wiped my memories, but I remember and am scheming against him" plotline! There is a lot of sexual and romantic tension under the surface of Harry's unreliable narration! There is so much betrayed trust!
What I am most hoping for is fic about their relationship, perhaps something fix-it-ish about the ending of the book, but I would also enjoy something more focused on Vincent, perhaps from his POV...?
