ROLLING IN THE DEEP Series - Mira Grant (aka Seanan McGuire's horror pen name) has MULTIPLE canon queer characters including two in the tag set Tori & Olivia, as well as several others featured in the novella and sequel novel. And bonus for intersectional queerness (Olivia is on the page autistic & Louis is a queer character of color), as well as additional on the page disability including Deaf/HoH characters who use sign, a canon character with chronic pain/illness, as well as Olivia's neurodivergence. And that's just off the top of my head - I'm 90% sure I'm missing more diversity details as I rethink the series.

And all of these in a fantastic near future horror series featuring a SyFy type network doing mockumentaries on cryptids that accidentally finds real mermaids... only instead of Disney's version they are deep sea murder mermaids in the Marianas Trench. I repeat DEEP SEA MURDER MERMAIDS, y'all. Seriously even if you don't plan to write/request it, I totally recommend the series for horror fans!
