Fandom: The House in the Cerulean Sea Characters: Arthur Parnassus, Linus Baker Essentially - gay dads taking care of kids who happen to be gnomes, wyverns, weredogs, fairies, indefinable blobs, and maybe even the son of the devil. It shouldn't be so notable, but it continues to be so very refreshing when a work has queer characters who just are--no angst, no confusion, not even any real homophobia. They have baggage and painful history and face persecution for other reasons, but never because of their sexuality.
