General Art Likes: I like a wide variety of art! Bold colours, black & white/greyscale, jewel tones, dark neons. I love interesting compositions and perspectives, and shots that feel like the characters were caught in the moment. I like most tones — fluffy and bright or dark and angsty or intimate and intense.
I like comics and gifs too! I don’t have specific art-related DNWs. I have more specific ideas in my individual prompts below, but yeah, I’m open to pretty much anything! Get weird with it, too, if you like!
Note that all my prompts are suggestions, I'd be happy to receive any art for these canons in general!
Fandom and character(s): Detective Grimoire (Video Games)
Detective Grimoire, Sally
Prompts: The art both of these games is gorgeous, so I would be happy with anything in that style -- or go for something more noir-leaning. Or anything else, really.
- Either or both characters as playing cards - Grimoire as the Jack and Sally as Ace of Spades could be fun?
- Them at Tangle Tower! It's so gorgeous in the game but we don't actually see them as characters moving through the world, so I would be extremely into that.
- Environmental art of Tangle Tower that doesn't include them is something I'd be psyched for too, it's so beautiful.
- Sally working in the swamp.
- What their agency office looks like.
- Them inspecting a crime scene.
Fandom and character(s): Hex (TV)
Ella, Thelma
Prompts: The show was dark in colour but the gothicness of the hall was always constrasted with the vast amount of land and nature outside the school. I tend to associate Ella with purples, but no opinion on other characters. Anything playing up the gothic nature would be great.
- Religious iconography would work pretty well for this, I think? In this case, neither Ella or Thelma need to be directly involve, because I could see some cool Azazeal imagery. But Ella being included in wood carvings or book illustrations of stained glass, slightly hidden, would be very fun.
- The three of them (Ella, Thelma & Leon) in the final scenes of the series, running away from the school as it's lit on fire.
- Or, canon divergence that shows them ready to fight in front of the school (which could still be alight)?
- Any ghostly goodness with Thelma: shenanigans, or her watching Cassie sleep, or doing any other ghostly things.
- Contrasting Thelma's in-corporealness with Ella's groundedness could be cool?
- Finally, some tarot cards, maybe? I'm not sure which they would be, although I like Ella as Judgement, I think!
Fandom and character(s): The Ten Thousand Doors of January - Alix. E Harrow
Any
Prompts: The book's cover is gorgeous, and anything along those lines would be cool. But I'm open to a wide array of art styles!
- Any representation of the characters would be cool! I'm not a very visual reader, so I don't have set visions of any of them and would like to see them.
- Capturing the scene of January finding that door in the field would be lovely.
- Seeing Adelaide and Yule Ian meeting for the first time, or her desperately waiting for him, would be lovely. Or! Them being reunited <3
- Art of the doors in any manner would be lovely.
- Show me Havemeyer being his creep-ass self, menacing January!
I'm also happy to receive art for my Polygon/McElroy Vlogs & Podcasts RPF request, but I have no specific prompts past my fiction ones (see my letter for those)!
