Yulebuilding
Greetings, everyone! Yuletide contains multitudes, and a chunk of those multitudes would really like to request worldbuilding. Thus, here is a sub-challenge post for those of us who love worldbuilding, either on the giving or receiving end.

It's not necessary to interact with Yulebuilding in any way to give or request worldbuilding for Yuletide, but this post is here to make life easier. Enjoy!

Fandoms: Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell - Susanna Clarke
I would absolutely love to receive worldbuilding futurefic for the incredible JS&MN universe. Specifically anything that expands on the return of magic throughout the 19th and into the 20th/21st centuries, preferably from unique perspectives. Some ideas: an academic article or rebuttal, a ridiculous pop-magic puff piece from a contemporary magazines, a Vulture.com review of the 2015 remake of the 1960s classic BBC adaptation of the 1840s book Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, a kid's school essay on the history of magic that got a bad grade, a 1990s BBS humanities.magic.norrellite discussion, a job listing for a magician-at-large for a big corporation or government initiative. Or something totally unique that you came up with yourself!
