Perhaps Moynihan’s squad is a subdivision of S&O? It all fits together nicely. —Perhaps Moynihan’s squad uses somebody from the Undercover squad to get into Nidge’s organization (instead of Scottie) —It’s somebody’s retirement party, so a bunch of detectives from different departments are invited because they’re all that person’s friend —Sam’s tortured reaction to finding out about his uncle’s corruption + O’Kelly’s advice to him to leave it alone is an interesting contrast with Antoinette and Mick’s relatively straightforward “find the bad cop and kick him out” approach. I’m curious to see more about how corruption could bring characters from these worlds together, or force them into conflict. Like, what if Sam had gone to IA instead? —A murder case becomes connected to a S&O kidnapping case, and thus it’s a joint investigation (like the Murder and Undercover joint investigation in The Likeness) —A detective stumbles into something at the wrong place at the wrong time and gets kidnapped as a result (possibly because even [insert criminal here] is smarter than to murder a detective) —Awkward but pleasant dinner date. It doesn't have to be all crime all the time. There can be beer & terrible puns too!
Desus & Mero and Any Fandom I Know Prompts!: —Crossover. What if they get dropped into Game of Thrones but they didn’t really pay that much attention to it, so they only kinda sorta know the plot? Or this premise with any other piece of media that I know (list here) —Interview. This can be with a made-up celebrity, a made-up human interest story, a real celebrity (Maurice DuBois?), a returning guest (old favorites: Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen, AOC, Chris Hayes, Hasan Minhaj), or a favorite character of mine (i.e. anybody I’ve requested in an exchange in the past year or so) —Winning the Emmy! I absolutely cannot believe they did not get nominated. Anything relating to that: acceptance speech, fashion choices, celebrity encounters, tabloid articles, them debriefing about it on the show in the days after.
