-Links, where relevant, to past letters, info on the canon, etc
-A summary of your prompt.
Or copy the below into a comment, and fill it out:
Writers: please check out the comments here & the spreadsheet to find the prompt of someone's dreams.
The last post's prompts have been copied to the current spreadsheet; recipients, if you don't want them, go ahead and remove them. Prompts from this post may be copied to the next post's spreadsheet, whenever that is created.
With thanks to swantower.

Fandom: كتاب ألف ليلة وليلة | Kitaab 'alf layla wa-layla | One Thousand and One Nights
Character(s): جعفر بن یحیی برمکی | Ja'far ibn Yahya al-Barmaki
Links: https://quillori.dreamwidth.org/30774.html#OON - most recent letter, much the same as all the previous ones.
Prompt summary: Famous for his power and wealth, and the favour of his Caliph, famed too for his eloquence and liberality, but led suddenly away to death in the midst of all his prosperity by that same Caliph. What sort of man was Ja'far, and did he live always with the knowledge he might fall, or was it an unthinkable betrayal?
