Now that Yuletide's over, what other exchanges or similar events is everyone planning to do, considering doing, or hoping might happen?

I'm hoping there's going to be a Miraculous Ladybug exchange that's run through AO3. The one ML exchange I've found that doesn't seem to limit participation to one or another Discord I'm not in, I encountered problems as a participant that I expect would not arise when working with an AO3 exchange.

Specifically, in AO3 exchanges, offers and requests are really obviously different boxes that may but need not contain identical tags, and creators have the Default button and mods have the Default Unfulfilled button and there is therefore no way for mods and any given participant to disagree on whether the said participant has defaulted.

After a year's hiatus, riventhorn and I will be running sutcliff_swap again this year, a hand-matched exchange for fanworks (art and fic) based on Rosemary Sutcliff novels and short stories. The schedule is still being set but we're looking at signups end of February and collection opening mid-May.

I barely manage to eke out one Yuletide story a year, but I definitely look forward to reading the Sutcliff stories when they go live. I hope you'll post a point in the Yuletide group.

My other favorite non-Yuletide swap is the children's lit one (the Fic at Pooh Corner? something like that).

I've had half an idea to host a Psycho-Pass exchange run through AO3 for a while now, but I'm not sure there'd be enough interest. Anyone here who'd join in?

I'd like more gaming fandom exchanges, also some longer word count challenges.

For a longer word count challenge, maybe try shortfics? I'm not sure if it's quite what you're looking for, but the required word count over there is definitely higher than the average for weekly challenges.

I've been thinking about trying to set up a Tamora Pierce exchange on AO3 for quite a while - would love to chat with anyone else who might be interested in getting it off the ground!

2020 will be our 11th annual game. We played hand-matched exchange-style every year except our 10th, which we played challenge-style. We'll have a community poll shortly to learn what everyone would best enjoy this year.

trope_bingo has just started its 14th round. As this is a general amnesty round, participants can generate their own cards or reuse old cards from previous rounds.

I'd also like to rec two other challenges:

allbingo: An extremely flexible bingo community that also hosts monthly bingo fests.

creativechallenges: This community offers lots and lots of prompt tables in several categories (smut, angst, ships, fluff, AUs).

All the communities above are multifandom and open to all kinds of fanwork as well as original works.
