Talk about what you wrote here! Did it go well? Did it go unexpectedly? Do you have pages and pages of research for a plot point you had to cut out? Spill!

That was a real delight reading the 4'33" stories. People had so many different takes, it was fascinating.

I was really nervous about my assignment, because the story I found myself wanting to tell didn't sound like anything the recipient wanted. Fortunately, they loved it. *whew*

i learned that it really, really sucks when your recipient can't be bothered to even say thank you. i've gotten the "thanks for writing for me" comment before and it's not a good feeling to know that you didn't manage to write something your recipient liked, but it turns out that no comment feels even worse! ah, well. there's always next year.

thanks for all your (and the other mods') hard work making this whole thing happen. you're superstars. <3

Ugh, I know right. I struggled SO hard with my fic this year (very unfortunate combination out of never-before-written fandom, having to write my anti ship since I only listed one character/half of it in my offers, AND being left with literally just 3-4 words of information, no letter etc.), and my recipient just remains silent. No kudo, no comment, nothing. Sigh. So... I feel you - I'm sure what you wrote was amazing, though, and I really hope that at least other people in the archive shower it with love!

Same thing here. I'm pretty sure my recipient really wanted sexytimes set in the past, and what she got instead was mild flirting set in the present, but I would at least have liked an acknowledgment that she read the story.

At least I did receive enough kudos and positive comments from other peopl to make me feel that I didn't entirely miss the ball with it.

thanks for your comment and i'm sorry you were put in that situation. not thanking someone for their effort at the very least is just plain rude.

*fistbump of commiseration*
