Yuletide Madness Drabble Invitational

Yes, I know, I'm super late this year. But you've still got most of a month, right?

(I had a terrible horrible no good very bad year, but hey, it's Yuletide, that has to count for something, right?)

TSo if you've been enticed by tiny canons or letters with prompts that only give you itty bitty plot bunnies the Yuletide Madness Drabble Invitational is back to meet all your "I don't have time or ideas enough to do 1000 words, but that is still keen" needs.

How does it work?

Write drabbles or drabble series for Yuletide Madness. Proper ones, where the text of each drabble is exactly 100 words, please. Ficlets are fun, but they aren't drabbles.

Give them to people.

Add "yumadrin" or "Yuletide Madness Drabble Invitational" to the tags.

And of course, have fun!

Just to make sure, so I don't step on anybody's toes: Are people allowed to drabble if we aren't signed up for the wider Yuletide challenge?

This is my first year participating, so maybe someone will correct me, but as far as I understand, anyone can write treats (i.e. stories that they were not assigned to write, including drabbles, ficlets, or full-length fics). You don't have to be signed up for the exchange. I think the rules for treats are just that they still have to be written for a specific person, focusing on a fandom and characters requested by that person for Yuletide, and avoiding that person's DNWs.

Here's a link to the section on "treats" in the Yuletide FAQ: https://archiveofourown.org/collections/yuletide2019/profile#Treats

Absolutely! People generally love random treats, and I think the most prolific writer last year never even signed up, just wrote tons of treats (many over 1k!). If you're inspired by someone's letter or signup, write them a treat! (And obviously a treat can be any length - if it's under 1k, it has to go in Madness, but anything over 1k, if it would fulfill the request, feel free to submit it to the main collection.)

I'm having trouble remembering how we do Yuletide Madness fics. I just tried to post one, but even though I tried to put it in the Yuletide collection so that it would post anonymously, it just posted in the regular way to my works. Now it says it "can't find" the Yuletide 2019 collection to post to it. Does anyone have any tips on how to post Madness fic?
