Hello Yuletiders! Two for One is an annual sub-challenge to help people who like crossovers and fusions find one another's requests.

Some clarification about crossover types:
• Crossovers tend to involve Fandom A's characters interacting with Fandom B's characters or worldbuilding, with everyone retaining their canon backgrounds. Ex. James Bond and Batman team up to defeat a villain, or Harry Potter falls into a portal that takes him to Westeros.
• Fusions tend to be AUs in which Fandom A's characters have always existed in Fandom B's setting instead of their own. Ex. Merlin was born in a galaxy far, far away, discovers that he has the Force, and serves a space prince named Arthur. (A fic like this in which Star Wars characters also appear would be a hybrid between a fusion and crossover.)

✎ Tom meets one Dorian Gray, who "seduces him with his philosophy". Hyde hears through the rumour mill that Mr. Gray might know the secret to eternal life (and anyway, a man has to look out for his mates).

✎ Picking up right where canon left off, Tom pursues the case of the mysterious Invisible Man, still dealing with the aftermath of his time with Hyde and the Jack the Ripper case. Hyde, as it turns out, hasn't gone as far as he'd assumed.

✎ In the wake of a series of grave robberies, Tom hears rumours of a monster sighted on city streets. It turns out that Utterson isn't the only ambitious man with an interest in Hyde's formula.

✎ A mysterious murder leads Tom to meet a wealthy man who's recently acquired property in the area and who only ventures out at night. Tom quickly figures out he's in over his head and reaches out to Hyde for help.

Basically any variation of Hyde and Tom having to team up to tackle a strange case that turns out to be an intertextual reference is gold.

Prompts!: The chances of people knowing two of these fandoms, especially one that's not even nominated this year, are pretty slim but I'm going to go for it.

For Rita/Interviews with Monster Girls, I'm thinking of a fusion where Rita and Lea are teenage demis living in the world of Interviews with Monster Girls. (Preferably still in Denmark.) What kind of demis they are is up to you, though I can't help picturing Rita as a succubus. If you want to make it a regular crossover with characters from Interviews with Monster Girls appearing, that would be great too - maybe Rita and Takahashi meet as teachers somehow?

For Rita/Jordskott, I'm thinking that Rita and Lea (as adults, for timeline reasons) get mixed up in the whole theme of Jordskott, and it's news to them that there are non-human creatures living among them. (Presumably there are some in Denmark as well as Sweden, or Rita and Lea could easily travel.) A fusion with just those elements or a crossover where characters from the two fandoms meet would both be great. (It occurs to me that with a fusion they would not need to be adults for timeline reasons, and we could even have one or both of them be non-human for this one too...)

Interviews with Monster Girls/Jordskott: I'm interested in some of the non-human Jordskott teens, definitely including the changelings, meeting up with demis and/or with Takahashi.

My Days of Mercy/Kase-san and Morning Glories: Well, we've got two canon lesbian couples around the same age living contemporaneously so I can't help wondering what would happen if they met up. (Please no polyamory though, as tempting as that might be.) Maybe they compare notes on the differences between living as a couple in the US and living in Japan? Or they just drink beer and tell jokes, whatever works for you. I'd prefer no supernatural elements with this.

* The parallels between Black Sails Nassau and The Expanse Belter culture interest me, with that tension between a distant imperial corporate super-power and the people trying to live between the cracks and make a future for themselves and their people. (a-c) I have requested three canons which are set in similar time periods - that is to say, you could fudge the dates so all sets of characters are adults in the 80s. I am open to fusions or crossovers for these fandoms, in any permutation, as described below. (Bonus challenge, all three at once?)
(a) I think it could be really interesting for any of the characters from Dead Poets Society (especially Todd) to attend Hampden College, either during or in the aftermath of the events of the Secret History; whether or not the characters interact is up to you. I also think there are some parallels to be drawn between Neil and Henry, beyond the obvious, so fusion AUs in either direction are appreciated.
(b) Withnail would fit right in with the Hampden crew. As a fusion option, I would also be really interested in a Withnail & I-esque story with Richard as Marwood, and maybe Charles as Withnail?
(c) Some fusion ideas for this one include a Withnail & I boarding school AU, or Todd and Neil being struggling artists in 80s London. I think this is the only one on my list that wouldn't really work for crossovers, but if you can make it happen, I'd be curious.
(d) What's better than this, guys being obsessed with Ancient Greece? I would love the characters of the Secret History as background players in the 19th century romantic poetry scene, hanging out with Byron and the likes on the continent. (Why are they there? You decide!) On the fusion end of things, I would love Byron (Henry), Keats (Francis), and the Shelleys (the twins, except not twins) as the Hampden gang... can you imagine the carnage?! Who's their Richard? Who's their Bunny?

Он – дракон | I Am Dragon (2015): Perhaps Yaroslava's avoided romantic entanglements because she's a lesbian, and her sister's bold choice gives her the push to strike off and find a lover of her own. Some possible candidates: Elsa from Frozen, Ciri from the Witcher, Arya Stark from ASoIaF, one of the Clayr from the Old Kingdom. I would also love gen encounters with anyone from these canons.

The Priory of the Orange Tree - Samantha Shannon: I would be interested in Tané and her dragon Nayimathun exploring the world. This would be an interesting crossover with I Am Dragon, actually! Or she could go to Westeros, which could certainly exist in this world, or to the Continent of the Witcher. Again, I would love femslash with one of my favorite characters such as Ciri or Arya, but I'm totally onboard with gen with these canons or any other.

Crossover prompts: I think the science fiction part of The Fountain could be productively crossed over with a lot of other science fiction canons. If you do this, feel free to use characters from either work and to do a fusion rather than a crossover. Here's the ones I would especially like:

- Solaris (either movie, or the recent book translation, or the original book if you can read Polish) - there's a lot of thematic parallel in how the obsession with the person they love results in a weird second or half life for that person. And space travel! A whole world that might be a sort of secret of eternal life...

- Roadside Picnic (the book, which is also Yuletide nominated, or the movie Stalker if you like) again the thematic relationship, this time with the idea of trying to save the loved one from an illness by some kind of alien / supernatural means.

- Interstellar - the mix of time travel and space travel can cross over between both. what if the Interstellar characters had previous incarnations like the Fountain ones? Or what if the Fountain space guy found that place the Interstellar traveler found when he arrived at his destination?

As for The People crossovers, honestly the settings are so similar they already feel like they're crossed over. So all that would need to be done is come up with a story that uses bits from both...

Prompts!: Well it occurred to me that timeline wise, most of these characters have a chance to meet eachother! At different ages, but the chance is there! And I thought, gosh, wouldn't that be interesting, Poirot in Kembleford or a mystery coming to the Yorkshire Dales and James is much confounded and Tristan thinks it's all great fun? What if Midsomer has a 'surpassed by Cabot Cove as murder capitol of the world' festival? What if an elderly Murdoch meets Jessica and talks mysteries with her? All that sort of thing.

Also what if a horrible goose tormented everyone.
