Femslash Festivus - the debut

Do you want to write femslash for Yuletide? Have you combed through the letters, but have no idea who these characters are, why you might like them, and if the potential recipient is looking for the tropey femslash fic of your shared dreams? Here's your post! 

Femslash Festivus is a collection post for femslash requests that you are making for Yuletide. Posting here doesn't obligate you to do anything, but it helps other femslashers find you and treat you. 

Posting requirements: 

• Your request centers around a femslash pairing or poly arrangement involving at least two characters who identify as female in the canon. The femslash pairing can't just be a smaller part of a long dudeslash prompt. 
• I'm not going around the post policing whether or not your letters are femslash-y enough, but please be considerate and do not ask for genderbent versions of male characters in canon, e.g. asking for always-a-girl!Conan the Barbarian paired with Valeria. 

What you must include:

• Your AO3 name
• All the fandoms where you are making femslash requests, with characters mentioned (so if you are only asking for gen in one fandom, don't list that one) 
• If you are asking for femslash in a fandom where you requested no characters because you wanted worldbuilding or OCs, this is perfectly fine! Just make sure you talk up the kind of pairings you'd want to receive in your post. 

What you should probably include: 

• Some tropes, kinks, or themes you'd want (here's a big list of fanfic tropes from Fanlore - warning that some of these are quite dark)
• A brief description of your ship, if you think it's unfamiliar to most people
• Prompts!
• If you're open to receiving porn for Festivus, note it.

Cuckoo Song - Frances Hardinge
I would love to read Trista/Violet post-book, something spooky or a casefic style thing or something built around the watch, which is going to keep them together long-term. For those not familiar, this is a spooky Gaiman-esque novel set after WWI in England. Violet is flapper girl who is apparently no good, and fiance to Trista's brother who died in the war. This is very much enemies-to-friends in the novel, and so I'd love to see their relationship progress even further. There's even a bit where Sol thinks that she could have loved Gigi, under other circumstances. So make those circumstances happen! I'd especially be into Gigi springing Sol from prison and them going on the lam together, plotting the downfall of the government.

I got the Witcher Ciri ending, and supported Cerys for Queen of Skellige, but I think all combinations of outcome for both Ciri and Cerys have possibilities. They are smart, strong, attractive women, and I adore them both. Witcher Ciri takes on a contract to find the missing Queen Cerys? Empress Ciri on a state visit to Skellige? Ciri and Cerys having a friendly hunting competition? Or, you know, smut.

Other Space is an awesome space comedy with awesome characters who all kind of hate each other. It becomes clear that Tina, the seemingly ditzy communications officer, obviously has a huge thing for Karen, who is second in command and way neurotic/awkward. And then! We find out they actually hooked up in the past!

The ship is from this short story in the Whyborne & Griffin series. It's a super cute f/f story where Maggie is somewhat successfully wooed by Persephone, though it takes her a while to realize that's what's going on.

Have you ever wanted to write fic for a canon in which Sherlock Holmes's little sister runs around being a very thoroughly historically grounded Victorian feminist badass who saves missing people (especially women!) in peril? How about a canon in which a female detective thinks things like "My unlucky lady must be saved!" and "How strangely it affected me to hear her say my true name in that way. If so, this may be the Yuletide fandom for you! Just as much subtext as ACD!Holmes/Watson, but with way more female characters and thoughts about Victorian society.
I've requested literally anything for Enola/Cecily. More specific prompts include Enola saving Cecily yet again, coda fic in the aftermath of one of the several times Enola has rescued Cecily so far, post-canon fic (canon ends with Enola going off on a well-deserved break to visit Cecily for a while!), or a tropey Regency AU.

Emelan - Tamora Pierce: Daja/Sandry

But Daja/Sandry is one of those childhood best friends-cum-soulmates ships where I truly believe that the two are simply *good* for each other - that they make each other into better, happier people who live beautiful, fulfilled lives. My prompts include futurefic, kidfic (and Rosethorn, Lark, and Frostpine being crotchety and/or deeply amused pseudo-grandparents), dealing with the fallout from Namorn, and slice-of-life fluff.

Fandom: Gemma Doyle Trilogy - Libba Bray

Felicity/Pippa is a canon pairing, though it has an unfortunately sad ending. I'd read anything that changes this fact! Canon divergence where Pippa doesn't die and she and Felicity go off to Paris. Or even something canon complaint about how they first realized their feelings for each other or the first time they kissed. There's so much potential for these two since we got a lot of overtones of these two and nothing certain until the last book. I'd love more about them.

I think there's potential for Felicity/Gemma, since there's that one throwaway sentence in the third book where Gemma wonders if she's attracted to Felicity. It'd be interesting to see how this changed their friendship and whether their future experiences (Felicity in Paris, Gemma in America) change them at all. Even solo fic about Felicity exploring the queer subculture in Paris would be great.


Fandom: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
Characters: I asked for any character, but I'd be up for any combination of Rebecca Bunch, Valencia Perez, and Heather Davis

I think there's so much potential for femmeslash here! I mean, these three have some wonderful girl squad moments in season two and I'm looking forward to season three being about them teaming up to destroy Josh. Any combination of them would be amazing, though I admit that I think Valencia/Heather would be the most amazing. They're so opposite that I think they'd work so well together. Valencia is a controlling and maintenance whereas Heather is so chill and flippant, and that works so well in their interactions. The end of season two and them working together on the wedding made me really want more scenes of just the two of them.


Fandom: Turn
Characters: Anna Strong, Mary Woodhull

I have wanted these two to get together since the first time they shared the screen in season one. So much potential for love/hate relationships or angry sex, or even just softer moments of them working together or dealing with the crap they've been forced to endure during the war (hurt/comfort would work so well for so many of their scenes in seasons two and three). I was so happy when they ended up doing spy stuff together in season four! They're two of the smartest people in the spy ring and they'd be so amazing working together. While I prefer the canon universe, I'd be 100% okay with a modern day spy AU because that opens up a world of great tropes like undercover dating, forced to share a bed, enemies to reluctant partners to friends to lovers, etc.

Le Comte de Monte-Cristo | Count of Monte Cristo - Alexandre Dumas (Eugénie Danglars, Louise d'Armilly)

Eugénie and Louise are minor characters in a 1000+ page novel, so I wouldn’t read it just for them -- but I’m delighted that there’s a canon (or as strongly implied as you can get in the 19th century) F/F couple and that they get a happy ending.

Eugénie Danglars is seventeen years old, the daughter of a prosperous Parisian family. She is very determined and independent, following “masculine” intellectual pursuits. She praises another woman’s physical beauty and is pointedly uninterested in men; a male suitor’s sighs and languishing glances “appeared to be deflected by the breastplate of Minerva, which philosophers sometimes say in fact covered the breast of Sappho.” She is very close to her dear friend and singing teacher Louise d’Armilly, who is more gentle in character but admires Eugénie greatly. Near the end of the novel, Eugénie disguises herself as a man, cuts her hair short, and runs away with Louise to make their own life as musicians.


Roundtable Rival - Lindsey Stirling (Music Video) (The Violinist)

Pairings requested: Any combination of the Violinist, her two backup dancers (not nominated), or OFCs.

This is a music video about 3 1/2 minutes long with a steampunk Western setting, where combat uses musical instruments and dancing instead of pistols. The Violinist and her two female comrades foil a bank robber (twice) and then ride off into the sunset together.
