I'm nominating the movie Suite Française (and maybe the book, too, if that'll get more interest, being more widely available). It's a 2014 adaptation of an Irene Nemirovsky novel, a love story between a French woman and a Nazi officer in the midst of Nazi occupation of France in WWII. The movie stars Michelle Williams and Matthias Schoenaerts as the lovers, and a stern Kristin Scott Thomas as Williams' mother-in-law. There are THREE stories for the movie and NONE for the book on the AO3, and I really hope this Yuletide will see it changed!
