nikkiscarlet: Vince Noir holds a peacock feather to his lips as he considers a thought. ([Boosh] *thinks prettily*)

Well, The Yogscast was one that really had me pouting the other night. They qualified last year, but I'm fairly sure that they're now juuuust over the 1000-in-total limit between ff.net and ao3 (unless the results I got on ff.net were wrong: I haven't really used that site since like 2002 or something like that, and kind of had to do a roundabout search just to find that fandom over there in the first place). The Mighty Boosh somehow managed to qualify last year but there'll be no chance of it this year. Same with Andrew Lloyd Webber's CATS. I'm not sure Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (the live action version) will qualify anymore because it seems to have been merged with the main Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon category on AO3, though it might just be a current sorting issue and they might get it fixed by the time nominations come around.

I don't mind scraping up some new fandoms to nominate/write for/request this year, but I was looking forward to some of the above ones only to find that there'll be no chance of most of them this year. Still, I totally understand the spirit of Yuletide and don't begrudge the rules at all. Sometimes it's difficult to come up with smaller fandoms I'd want to write for/request, although I'm sure I'll manage. Even if I can't think of anything to nominate, I'm sure I'll find some awesome ideas in other people's nominations and volunteer to write for those. Nonetheless, there is still that hope that I could find a challenge for slightly-bigger fandoms running around the same time, just for the extra fun of writing for some of my favourites. :3 [community profile] fandom_stocking might work: I'll definitely keep my eye on it! Thanks!
