Two for One is an annual sub-challenge to help people who like crossovers and/or fusions find one another's requests.

Some clarification about crossover types:
• Crossovers tend to involve Fandom A's characters interacting with Fandom B's characters or worldbuilding, with everyone retaining their canon backgrounds. Ex. Harley Quinn and The X-Men team up to defeat a villain, or Enola Holmes falls into a portal that takes her to Westeros.

• Fusions tend to be AUs in which Fandom A's characters have always existed in Fandom B's setting instead of their own, often replacing Fandom B's characters. Ex. Bucky Barnes as a contestant in the Hunger Games, where Fury and Howard Stark are referees. (A fic like this in which Hunger Games characters also appear would be a hybrid between a fusion and crossover.)

Maybe this is a fusion in which Stargate things happen in a universe with empirical philosophy/sigilry/science-y magic. Or maybe this is a planet or parallel universe that they encounter through the gate/by sci-fi devices. Either way, my interest in this is all about letting John Sheppard in on the kind of human self-powered directed "hovering" flight that happens in The Philosopher's Flight and The Philosopher's War, as well as geekily fitting the Sigilry Corps worldbuilding with the USAF/Stargate Program worldbuilding (the traditions! the systematicness! the being there for the person who stands next to you!), the hovering technology (and its development) with modern aviation and sci-fi technobabble and artifacts.

I just think John would love being able to fly by channeling power through himself via the use of some everyday powdered substances, a few hand gestures, and gear designed for the better coordination of those things. Please make it so that he can at least fly as well as Robert eventually, whether he's always been good at it or there's a period of learning or even disappointment until he can. (John not being able to fly sometimes for reasons is exquisite angst! Which I like in small, sharp doses, but I would be sad if he were mushed into this world and didn't get to fly.)

Terminator/Batman Beyond: If anyone could survive Judgment Day, it would be Batman. When John goes forward in time, does he meet Terry?

Terminator/Doctor Who/Torchwood: time travel and apocalypses, sounds like an awesome time for the Doctor or Jack Harkness or someone to get involved in saving the world!

RoL/Terminator: If Judgment Day happens, and Terminators have microchips, all of a sudden being a wizard is a superpower to save the world. On the other hand, what if Sarah and John et al ended up in Britain and got tangled up in a case? What would Peter make of time travel?

RoL/Young Wizards: Wizardry is so different in these two series, how do you reconcile it? How do they fit together? What would happen if Peter was investigating the same problem Nita and Kit were investigating?

RoL/The Old Guard: There are lots of different types of immortal (or, at least, really old) people in the RoL universe. How do the Old Guard fit?

Prompts!: So in my letter I note that for a story set while the girls are actually in middle school running the BSC, it would be fun to set it in some far-flung AU instead of Stoneybrook, CT in the late 80s/early 90s - that includes universes from other media! Whether you do that fusion style or crossover style is up to you.

Potential Fandom Combinations: Any Chinese media set post-1969 that could reasonably take place in the FAM universe, maybe with a few tweaks (but we're not talking, like, a full-on Untamed AU within the modern FAM timeline or something)
Prompts!: So the one exception I have to needing to use my requested characters for FAM is if you're worldbuilding what China is up to during the FAM timeline. We get so little information about them in the show, despite the fact that North Korea is in the M-7! I feel like China would have opinions on that! Also the fact that the USSR never fell, and there are way more officially communist countries than in our timeline, China would have influence in that sphere. Anyhow, one option for doing this would be via your favorite modern Chinese media - extrapolate the technological and political developments in FAM to what effects they would (or wouldn't) have on that era's China and those characters' lives. If that makes sense.

I'm not 100% sure where this would fall on the crossover-fusion scale; on the one hand, I'm saying that all FAM characters and events should exist in your fic's universe, even if they're never even mentioned in your fic, which is crossover. But on the other hand, I'm also saying that the other media's characters should have always existed in the FAM-ified version of their universe, which is more fusion-ish. I guess it's like a fusion but in the other direction - a FAM AU of some other media instead of the other way around.

Someone at Short Term 12 is a witness and they have to come take their statement. One of the Red Band Society members catches them trying to break in a stalk a suspect. Prompts!: The Face in the Frost by John Bellairs is extremely fertile ground for crossovers. Its world clearly has a very porous connection with our own. The very first sentence of Chapter 1 reads “Several centuries (or so) ago, in a country whose name doesn’t matter, there was a tall, skinny, straggly-bearded wizard named Prospero, and not the one you are thinking of, either.”  Which begs the question: so what about the one we are thinking of?  Did this Prospero ever interact with/influence Shakespeare’s Prospero, or Shakespeare himself?  And there is no such disclaimer attached to Prospero’s friend Roger Bacon: should we conclude that he is the Roger Bacon we’re thinking of? I’d love to hear more about any such connections.

If the boundary with our world is porous, it’s not hard to imagine that the boundaries with other worlds might be the same way. Bellairs considered The Face in the Frost his attempt to write something along the lines of The Lord of the Rings, with Prospero as his answer to Gandalf. (See this review for more background.) So, what if Prospero crosses paths with the actual Gandalf, or possibly a party of hobbits/dwarves/elves/whatever his world’s equivalent may be? On another note, I can absolutely see Prospero and Roger Bacon hanging out with some of Bellairs’ other characters: Roderick Childermass, Florence Zimmermann, Jonathan Barnavelt… That group could have an amazing tea-and-cake party/poker game. Or, what if Howl or Chrestomanci pops in through a portal, Dorothy takes a wrong turn on her way to Oz, or Alice’s looking glass sends her through Prospero’s magic mirror? What if Harold Postmartin discovers some of Prospero’s writings in a dusty library somewhere? I mean, you can go nuts here. Any canon mentioned in my journal or included in my AO3 bookmarks is fair game, or feel free to ask via the mods whether I’m familiar with a different fandom that sparks an idea for you.

I have never in my life been into a currently-popular fandom until now and Our Flag Mean Death. I am one of those terrible Izzy apologists, I’m afraid. You would need to mess with timelines a great deal, but I would love to read an OFMD/Moby Dick crossover.

Which reminds me of a prompt I had last year about various seafaring amputees happening to be in the same fic, and which I’m still very keen on. Tintin/Indiana Jones-crossover:
Tintin runs into Indiana Jones somewhere - either Tintin works as a reporter for once, or they're just in the same location because they're basically investigating the same thing, but in each their own way. ;) Despite some occasional supernatural elements, Tintin as a series is generally rather grounded in reality; the same can't really be said for Indiana Jones as a series. So how does their meeting work out?

I thought The Blue Lotus and Temple of Doom overlapped in time, but apparently The Blue Lotus is supposed to take place in late 1931-early 1932, while Temple of Doom is set in 1935.
HOWEVER, The Blue Lotus was indeed written in 1934-35, and who says the Japanese invasion of China happened in 1931 in Tintin's universe? Tintin and/or Tchang crossing paths with Indy and/or Short Round in Shanghai in 1935 could be fun to explore. Indiana Jones having brushes with the corrupt and biased/prejudiced Brits and Americans in the International Zone could also be interesting to explore.
Did Indy hear of the abduction of professor Fang Hsi-ying? What did he think of those news - does he perhaps know the man? Was Indy a guest at Rastapopoulos' party where the professor was last seen?

Tintin/Cycling RPF:
As a crossover, how about Tintin taking Haddock to watch a Belgian spring classic, complete with people selling pommes frites and beers? Tintin is Belgian, there's no way he doesn't like cycle sport, even just a little. ;) And Haddock doesn't strike me as the most interested in sports.
A slightly different take: The village of Moulinsart is hosting a post-Tour de France criterium. Those races are basically for show, much like wrestling in the US, thus you'll see tiny climbers out-sprinting riders they don't usually have a chance of beating on a flat course. Tintin loves it. Haddock is confused...what happened to Tintin's usually staunch morals? Why is he okay with this blatant display of match-fixing?
And who's Tintin supporting? (There are no wrong answers here!)

The crossover-fushion AU: Tintin either being a hopeful young cyclist himself in 1930's Belgium (the Remco Evenepoel of his time?) or a sports journalist covering the races.
In all prompts: The cyclists from this year's tag set are basically "playing themselves", just set in Tintin's universe.

"Er der nogen?"/Cycling RPF-crossover:
This is silly, I know. But how do people, who are used to speeding down mountains on bicycles and who've broken countless bones, react when they're locked inside an old, supposedly haunted, manor house? Are they stoic? Or will the stoicism crumble when the different gadgets start blinking and beeping? ;)
It would be the most logic (if you can say that about a ghost hunting show) if the guest stars were the Danish riders, I guess, but at the same time it could be fun having Jonas Vingegaard and Tadej Pogacar in the same story. (I could totally see Tadej being rather gleeful about locking Jonas up in a tiny pitch-black dungeon, for instance...)
Mostly because I imagine Jonas being very, very Jutlandic about it all: "Well, one might say the EMF meter is being somewhat sensitive at the moment" [with the EMF meter glowing on the highest indication]. Or how about Catholic Italians - because "why on earth do the owners keep having those ghosts around? Why haven't they called a priest ages ago? Mamma mia, those Danes make it hard for themselves sometimes."
I guess one could always just say that the show features international guests because the TV station finally got enough funding to send the hosts to haunted locations in other countries, or perhaps they needed someone who speak Dutch/Italian due to a specific location.
